Ho trascorso un mese a Goa facendo volontariato e mi sono innamorata dell'India. Come viaggiatrice solitaria molto poco preparata, muovermi ed esplorare è stato molto facile e posso dire di essermi sentita al sicuro al 100% del tempo come giovane donna nell'ostello. Le persone incredibili che lavorano in cucina, al bar e, naturalmente, Ashwin, mi hanno sempre fatto sentire al sicuro e mi hanno insegnato molto. Sono davvero grata di aver potuto vivere Goa da questa prospettiva. Un mese è stato il tempo perfetto per conoscere Goa poco prima della stagione dei monsoni. La mia lista di cose da fare è sempre una grande festa e una grande famiglia ❤️.

È stato un piacere avere Tessa come parte della nostra famiglia di ostelli. È una bellissima anima che si connette con le persone intorno a lei e lascia un'impronta ovunque vada. Un'intera strada era triste quando ha lasciato l'ostello e ciò dice molto sul suo carattere. Mi piacerebbe riaverla e consiglierei chiunque al 100% se dovesse mai candidarsi ai vostri posti. Mi piacerebbe trascorrere più tempo durante il suo prossimo viaggio e una visita a Chapora è d'obbligo quando tornerai. Buona fortuna per i tuoi studi e ci vediamo presto ❤

Sofia è stata un buon membro del team all'inizio. Ma poi è diventata poco professionale, soprattutto con gli ospiti, come riportato. Se avesse avuto problemi con altri volontari, sarebbe stato facile farglieli sapere subito, piuttosto che farcelo sapere ora. Socievole ed estroversa, ma sarebbe stato bello comunicare con il responsabile e i volontari, poiché erano vicini. 3/5

La mia esperienza in questo ostello è stata generalmente piacevole. Ho incontrato persone meravigliose, lo staff è stato fantastico e ho buoni ricordi.
Se vuoi conoscere gente, è decisamente il posto giusto per te e se stai cercando di fare festa, è il posto perfetto.
Tuttavia c'è un vero problema di comunicazione. Per esempio, senza esserne stato informato in anticipo, ho finito per lavorare 14 giorni di fila (senza giorni liberi) durante le ferie e i miei turni di lavoro erano spesso fissati molto tardi la notte per i giorni seguenti, il che rende difficile pianificare attività al di fuori del volontariato.

Marin voleva andarsene prima rispetto alle date concordate di volontariato e quindi abbiamo avuto un piccolo problema con i tempi dei giorni di riposo. Richiediamo ai volontari di aiutare durante i giorni di punta. Era vicino a Natale e Capodanno e stava chiedendo giorni liberi durante i giorni pieni dell'ostello per fare festa, il che non è stata una scelta responsabile.
Di solito il programma è impostato il giorno precedente, ma abbiamo discusso con il responsabile per ottenere un programma settimanale per i volontari d'ora in poi.

Love Bucketlist! I had such a fun month here, Ashwin & Vaibhav run a professional and fun hostel and I was so happy to be a volunteer there. A great place to meet international and Indian travellers & I've come away with so many new friends. The work was in the bar and is very easy if you've worked behind bars before or easy to pick up if you haven't. The only thing I would say is there is quite an emphasis at times on promoting a party, which at times can be quite socially exhausting if you're not in the right mood for it, but I was easily dragged out these moods by guests lol! Recommend!

I had a really good time volunteering at the hostel. Vibav and the rest of the team are all extremely helpful and supportive when settling into the role. It's a great way to meet people and see Goa, without spending much money. However it would be nice to have to schedules slightly earlier then the night before. Overall it was a great experience!

I loved my first week there, the bartending they expect from you is very simple and Ashwin is very friendly. It was the most lively hostel of the area and everyone was looking to socialize. I chose to leave about one week earlier, because I started to feel like 6 h per day in exchange to accommodation and free breakfast-lunch, that I kept missing because my shift ended at 2 am, was not worth it. A premade work schedule would help us know our shifts and days-off in advance and avoid working for 7+ days straight.

This is home away from home, you will have so much fun meeting international travelers and connecting with the goa culture. The shifts were very easy and chill, the food was also very good and the party atmosphere is a reflection of what goa is about. All the beaches are a few minutes walking distance and you will always have enough time for you to enjoy the bucketlist life. I highly recommend it if you look for a western style experience while you travel through the universe of India.

Where do I even start ! Wow what an amazing place to meet people from all over the world It's a very social hostel and you make loads of friends the staff are all super friendly and helpful it's bar work so you get go learn the basics if you don't already know which is a good skill to take away from this experience. I'm sure I will be back one day ! I'd highly recommend voulenteering here

Note this is a party hostel. If you are looking to party, socialise and immerse yourself in the local culture then this is a great opportunity for you. Make sure to discuss with your host before what are your expected shifts and day to day role responsibilities. The room I was first put in was really basic but you can always upgrade your room for a small fee to have a clean private apartment. I would recommend this if you want some comfort. Overall, host is very nice, interesting guy that has travelled all over and has great stories.

Mi sono davvero divertito ad ospitare Meg. Non ho potuto trascorrere molto tempo quando era lì, poiché stavo viaggiando. Ma le brevi interazioni che abbiamo avuto sono state fantastiche. Era una persona responsabile e aveva una personalità incredibile, perfetta per l'atmosfera dell'ostello. La consiglierei sicuramente e le auguro un viaggio sicuro per il futuro.
