Dal momento in cui sono arrivato sono stato accolto molto bene; mi hanno accompagnato dall'aeroporto e mi hanno riporto al momento della mia partenza, i lavori erano semplici e mi hanno sempre aiutato; inoltre ho potuto entrare in contatto con persone del posto, conoscere un po' della loro cultura e delle loro tradizioni, che è stata una delle migliori parti di questa esperienza.

Non c'era mai una persona di riferimento a cui potessi rivolgerti per eventuali domande. Ho ricevuto informazioni sul snorkeling e su altri compiti da diversi volontari e studenti. Come in altre recensioni, sono d'accordo sul fatto che non fosse organizzato. Quello che mi ha frustrato è stato lavorare per 30 minuti e sedermi a un tavolo da picnic nelle successive 4 ore. Durante le vacanze avevo sperato di essere più occupato; invece ho avuto la sensazione che il grande gruppo di noi stesse stesse perdendo tempo. C'erano molti stagisti e altri volontari, il centro non aveva bisogno di così tante persone quante ne aveva.

This experience was great to meet locals and other volunteers, and working with turtles was also amazing ! (learning about turtles, putting the eggs in the sand, doing visits, cleaning the tanks, seeing baby turtles…) The work is usually until from 9am to 1pm but the hours are flexible, and the afternoons as well as the weekends are free. The only downside is that when there was not many visitors, we just chatted and waited around, and I expected more organised work. I still loved the experience and would definitely do it again !

Great experience. Work was chill, you wake up early sometimes (6:30-7:30 am) to collect seaweed for the turtles, but otherwise you're there from 9 am - 1 pm. You clean tanks for the first ~30 minutes, and then you lead tours on a rotating basis - usually about 2 per day. Then, after 1 pm, you get the rest of the day to do whatever you want. They give you a free surf lesson and amazing accommodation, so it's a great time. Obviously, working with the turtles is the greatest thing ever, they're all super cute and you'll fall in love with them. Finally, all of the staff is friendly and wonderful.

È stato meraviglioso imparare a proteggere le tartarughe e incontrare colleghi locali, nonché altri volontari. Sono stato fortunato a incontrare l'ultimo gruppo di tartarughe appena nate quest'anno.

A really cool experience with plenty of free time to still explore bali. i learned a lot and met great people, plus the driver Dody is a super nice guy! however it was disorganized with communication at times (for example, i was given the wrong phone number for the driver so airport pickup was quite hectic). also, if you are just looking to come to bali you can do so for MUCH cheaper than the weekly rate they charge. but if you are hoping to learn about turtles/ecotourism or just want to have something to do during the days then this is not a bad experience whatsoever. i enjoyed my time!

The things that are written are those that will actually be done, nothing more, nothing less. The best thing for me was meeting other people from other parts of the world, learning more about the local culture and obviously dealing with sea turtles, and helping in their the project.

Even though it's rainy season, you get to learn a lot about our friends in the ocean. It ranges from cleaning the tanks and touring people around, to sudden emergency rescues to save a the project. My favorite was collecting seaweed, cause you'll basically drive out with a boat and collect seaweed while snorkeling, which is super fun. There's nothing better than spending a day with turtles and talking with the staff. Although, next time I return, It'll be during june/july, so I can see all the hatchlings etc.😁
