It has been such an immersive experience into the local lifestyle and culture. I do really recommend it. My task was about painting an art mural in one of the school's walls. I had the freedom of painting the idea I had after agreeing some points. I really enjoyed it.

I had such a fun time donating my time and effort to creating a mural for the organization Cambodia. The organization is truly inspiring and I learned so much from volunteering here. The accommodation was very basic, as mentioned, but I will say that mural painting was a little challenging in the conditions. It was very hot, na/C, and the food is all traditional Cambodian, but if you can tough it out, there is plenty of wall space and opportunity to let your creativity flow.

Working with the organization was a fascinating experience. Peter does an excellent job of providing volunteers with meaningful work, contributing to the organisation's functioning. It is a privilege to be invited into the school's daily life, from meals to prayers in the evening. The school is well positioned to explore Phnom Penh at the weekends and the surrounding area is great fun to wonder around (especially the magnificent views of the Mekong at sunrise or sunset!)

Thank you everyone at the organization in Phnom Penh, I had an amazing time painting and living with you all. This was my first time (ever) painting a mural, and I felt supported the whole time through the process. It was easy to get into a healthy routine because the school has morning/evening prayers and 3 meals a day. There is also a small cafe at the school with good snacks and drinks. I highly recommend this experience to anyone who enjoys painting and wants to be involved in a project that is making a difference. Thank you again the organization!

Sadly, I did only 1 week in the center of kandal province because we didn't have many student (only 3 that we could teach with the manager) and I didn't feel like I was helping the team or the association, so I left. But the team and the accommodation are nice, and with more student, I think this could be a great volunteering experience.

Grazie per la tua recensione. E capiamo la tua decisione. In realtà abbiamo dovuto chiudere la nostra scuola a Kandal, poiché la scuola non stava andando molto bene lì. Siamo lieti che ti sia sentita la benvenuta e che tutto sia andato bene.
Speriamo che tu abbia trovato un buon posto per fare volontariato dove possa contribuire!

The school provides strong educational support, with volunteers from around the globe teaching various classes. The full-time students are welcoming and foster a friendly atmosphere. Classes are held from 7 am to 7 pm with breaks in between, offering flexibility for volunteers. On the downside, hygiene is quite minimal. It's best to bring your own soap, and there were issues with rats in our room. The meals are simple, so bringing snacks and a mosquito net is recommended. While the experience is rewarding, be ready for basic living conditions.

The Host & his Team were great and very accommodating for my dietary needs! The overall experience was delightful! It was great meeting fellow travelers and new people, and making new friends. I got a great feel of the local experience, which was one of my main goals. Cambodia is a wonderful place, and having a unique volunteer opportunity like this made the overall experience much more enjoyable! Thanks a lot!
