Le mie tre settimane nel lodge sono passate estremamente in fretta! La famiglia è adorabile e così accogliente. Sono arrivato senza particolari competenze e sono stati estremamente pazienti con me e questo mi ha permesso di imparare molto. È stato fantastico vivere com'è la vita nel Karoo.

Sotto le stelle, riscaldata dal bagliore del falò, la casa ronza con un'energia così contagiosa da farti sorridere e non voler mai andar via. Le attività sono divertenti e creative, e si assicurano che il lavoro si adatti ai tuoi doni e a ciò che ti piace fare. C'è tanta gentilezza, apertura e risate che ti fanno sentire subito a casa. Non è solo un'esperienza—è famiglia. Ho davvero trascorso il mio tempo qui e mi sento grato per ogni momento.

Alloggiare nel lodge è stata un'esperienza incredibile. La famiglia è TANTO gentile e accogliente, così come Ernest, che lavora in casa durante il giorno ed è sempre felice di condividere storie della sua cultura zulù. Max, Jack e Rox, gli adolescenti della casa, sono stati tutti fantastici nell'aiutarmi ogni volta che avevo bisogno di assistenza e nell'accogliermi in tutto, e Justin e Freyni sono stati così gentili e flessibili con gli orari. Sono riuscito a lavorare secondo il mio orario, costruendo i siti dei social media. L'alloggio era anche fantastico. La consiglio vivamente. P.S. I loro cani, soprattutto Badger, sono i più dolci di sempre!

I had a really lovely time at the lodge, it was absolutely perfect for me as a change of pace from hectic backpacking. The accommodation, food etc. was all very comfortable and generous. I really enjoyed the tasks that I was set which included tinkering with the tractor, building fences, gardening, Helping to repair the road and other general jobs. We also went on several trips to the local towns & Justin slowed me to accompany him on a research trip, which was v cool. It was very nice to be in a family environment, exchanging stories and jokes over yummy meals and walks. Would highly recommend!

If you are a traveler and are looking for an unforgettable adventure, this is the ideal place for you! A unique experience, waking up every day with a wonderful view of the mountains and to the sound of excellent classical music played on the piano, each day with a different spetaculum sunset and with starry sky. The tasks are diverse and with the possibility of choosing what you prefer to do, with flexibility of schedules, always accompanied by a lovely company and with a helper who is worth more than a teacher, to help you with any clarification you need. I recommend it with my eyes closed

Hei. I was there for 2 1/2 weeks in March 2024 and can highly recommend it. A wonderful, warm-hearted family who take care of everything. You get fantastic food, have your own bathroom and bedroom, bed is mega cosy. The farm is in a lovely quiet place and it is so peaceful there. In the morning and during the day you are woken up by the piano of one son, so lovely. (Max 😊🙌) There is really a lot to do on the farm, especially a lot of renovation in the craft. I have redesigned the gardens and done some creative work. So you have to go there, highly recommended. ❤️

I had a wonderful time at the lodge! My task was to get their old Bedford truck running and we were able to complete that task by the end of my stay. I also helped Freyni with different projects for the guesthouse and was always involved in whatever was happening in their home. They made sure I was able to experience some of the local towns, attractions, and national parks to have a full and fulfilling experience in South Africa. The whole family is incredibly kind and welcoming and I can't wait to see them again :)
