Voluntariar no the community foi uma experiência incrível e enriquecedora! Sr. Fernando é um verdadeiro professor: conversamos muito sobre história portuguesa e mundial, e ainda me ensinou na prática a usar uma motosserra (minha primeira vez!) e a preparar a lenha para o inverno. A estrutura do local é excelente, com espaços muito acolhedores como biblioteca, sala de meditação, sala de estar e quartos confortáveis para os voluntários. As refeições comunitárias eram sempre ótimas. Recomendo demais a experiência para quem busca aprender, conectar-se com a natureza e colaborar de verdade.

Dos voluntariados que fiz, foi aqui no the community onde encontrei um maior espírito de comunidade e parceria. Fernando e Masha, dono e gerente do projeto, além de serem pessoas acessíveis, trabalham conosco ombro a ombro todos os dias. Projetam, delegam e colocam a mão na massa nos fazendo sentir parte de um todo. Quanto a equipa, residente e passageira, foi enriquecedor conviver com eles. Para quem gosta de natureza, vai se sentir abraçada por ela o tempo inteiro. Para quem ama animais, terá boa companhia dos gatos, cães, cavalos, ovelhas, patos e galinhas. Experiência extraordinária.

The community is a refuge where you not only learn about the daily facets of farm work (which is really cool and rewarding), but can also slow down, be creative, and meet incredible souls from different places. I left the farm both ready to attempt gardening back home haha, and inspired by what we can accomplish when we all truly work together. Masha, the farm manager, and the other long-terms are a huge reason for that. I highly recommend this experience!

The community is a nice place to be in the nature and live in a community. You can have a balance here between spending time by yourself and with others. The people are very nice, the long term volunteers are open to the new people as well. The work and other tasks are well organised, you know what to expect. The work is not hard and we always worked together with others and a lot of time with some music. I loved that you can be surrounded by animals, the cats are also good company and very cudly. Recommend!

La comunidad es un lugar mágico, rodeado de naturaleza, animales y personas comprometidas con la sostenibilidad. Mi mes allí fue muy enriquecedor, tanto por lo aprendido sobre agricultura sostenible como a nivel personal: encontré calma, sencillez y momentos de desconexión muy valiosos. Las tareas son amenas, la comida deliciosa y hay tiempo para disfrutar del entorno. Además, se crea una comunidad muy especial entre voluntarios. Gracias a Masha, Cass y al equipo por su dedicación y por hacerme sentir en casa. Sin duda, una experiencia que recomiendo. Volveré pronto ❤️

I had a great time learning about farm life at the community. I met people i laughed a lot with and with whom i felt i could totally be myself. There is a nice balance between doing stuff by yourself and organizing things together like playing card games, movienight, BBQ and going to the lake. I personally really loved doing the dog walks at golden hour amazed by the beauty of the surroundings!

Volunteering in the community for the month of January was a fun, learning, and fullfilling experience. 😊 There's a great group of people living here that support eachother, work well together and have lots of laughs. 💚 I had the opportunity to learn plenty about myself, about community life and about sustainability. 💛 The work was dynamic, varied and very meaningfull. Taking care of the garden, the animals, doing construction work or cooking meals brought tons of satisfaction to me. ❤️ I wish I could extend my time here, and feel very lucky to have known this place. I'll be back for sure! 🙏

I had a great time volunteering here. I loved the tasks like feeding cats, watering plants, doing harvesting and canning lots of stuff. I had a lot of free time and even though I came at a time where not a lot of new volunteers were there, I could still connect with the long term volunteers. Everyone was very kind and understanding. The cats were very cuddly and nature was beautiful. There was also a lake nearby to swim. Overall I'm very thankful for this experience 🥰

He long-term volunteers and the rest of the team were incredible. It was a month of hard work, but also full of laughter and unforgettable moments. the community is a magical place. I watched beautiful sunsets from the rooftop and ended my trip with a stunning farewell sunrise. The project and its people are truly special. My only note is that on several days the 5-hour daily limit wasn't strictly kept, as dinner prep and post-dinner dishwashing weren't counted toward the working hours.
