Ho avuto un'esperienza meravigliosa con Girls Can Lead. Sono arrivato/a preparato/a con il programma e le attività, ma avere Jay con me è stato fondamentale per adattare tutto sul posto e creare un ambiente dinamico con le ragazze. Mi è davvero piaciuto entrare in contatto con loro e ho trovato le due settimane molto gratificanti. L'alloggio è stato più impegnativo per me, quindi ho deciso di trasferirmi altrove poi. Ho condiviso questo feedback con l'organizzazione, e sono stati molto aperti a questo e prenderanno in considerazione miglioramenti per i volontari futuri.

I bambini sono meravigliosi da avere intorno e sono molto desiderosi di imparare. Sono davvero felici quando qualcuno viene a trascorrere del tempo con loro. La maggior parte dei bambini non ha una penna per scrivere. Se possibile, sarebbe fantastico se potessi portare penne 🖊️ o quaderni vuoti che non usi più. È una causa significativa, ma beneficerebbe di una maggiore organizzazione e comunicazione. In futuro potrebbe essere utile che l'organizzatore sia più attivamente coinvolto con la scuola. Assicurati che le esigenze siano chiaramente comprese e renda il sostegno ancora più efficace. Grazie, alla prossima :)

Me and my sister had an amazing time in this volunteer. We stayed with a local family there which totally made the difference. They were lovely and attentive at all times. At the school, you can organize your schedule and help in any way! We did some lessons and also decoration for the classrooms. The staff at the school was kind and welcoming. Truly recommendable experience if you like kids and want to live the authentic Gambian life. And thanks to Ebrima for arranging it all. See you again!🥰

It was a very rewarding experience. Totally immersed in the local culture. The family welcomed me as one of their own and were attentive to me and my needs at all times. They made my experience truly unforgettable. About the stay at the school, the teachers and the children were always very friendly and I had a great time with them. We also did a workshop for the girls in the community which was wonderful. I sincerely recommend the organization Experience as they da lot of social impact work. I am very happy to have had the opportunity to do this volunteer work and to have been a part of it.
