Gli studenti della scuola sono stati molto gentili e accoglienti, nonché desiderosi di imparare. Il mio soggiorno è stato confortevole; io e un altro volontario abbiamo condiviso una camera con bagno ed è stato perfetto. Mirijula, la moglie dell'ospite, è stata la parte migliore della mia esperienza. Una nota importante è che non c'è reception / wifi presso la proprietà dell'ospite. Inoltre, ho avuto alcuni problemi con l'ospite stesso, tuttavia il resto dell'esperienza è stata incredibile e lo consiglierei. Abbiamo lavorato circa 5/6 giorni alla settimana. Inoltre, la posizione è abbastanza remota con poche opportunità di esplorare altrove.

Questa è la mia seconda volta a fare volontariato presso la scuola Vidhyalaya, e ogni visita mi insegna qualcosa di nuovo. Circondato dalla natura e accolto da bambini gentili dal cuore caloroso, l'esperienza è sempre rinfrescante. Consiglio vivamente questo posto a chiunque sia interessato a insegnare ai bambini in un ambiente pacifico e ispiratore.

Ho soggiornato alla Vivekananda Vidyalaya dal 25 agosto al 4 settembre. Anche se sono arrivato una settimana prima del previsto, il signor Nilakanta mi ha accolto calorosamente, mi ha offerto alloggio e affidato compiti significativi. La scuola è un'istituzione di costruzione comunitaria che promuove l'istruzione, la salute e la pulizia tra studenti e abitanti del villaggio. Gli studenti, il personale, il fondatore e direttore, il signor Nilakanta, sua moglie e suo figlio Jagmohan hanno creato un ambiente così caloroso che mi sono sentito profondamente legato a loro. I had an amazing experience at the school. It is the best place for perfect cultural immersion. The host Nilakanta sir and his family especially his wife treated me very well. The people there were so kind and welcoming. Waking up to the sounds of birds, in a peaceful and calm environment is a beautiful experience. I met so many people here, and I really had a great time. Because of a miscommunication, I got down at the wrong place instead of reaching the host's place, and understanding my situation, the host immediately arranged his friend to pick me up. Overall, it was great.

I had a truly amazing time in Majuli. The people were incredibly sweet and always ready to help. Their warmth and kindness really made it a wholesome experience. I felt like I was at home. The kids in the school were very sweet and eager to learn. The experience of teaching children has taught me a lot about myself too. Every day I used to look forward to go to school. The host Mr. Nilkanta Pegu and his family truly welcoming. They took care of me and treated me like family. I got to experience their festival as well. I have made friends for life.

My time in Majuli was just amazing ! It was my last minute change of plan to come to Mechuka, but it turned out to be the best decision ever ! I got to experience the their tribal culture and tradition in the most authentic way by living with locals ! People are so sweet and friendly, literally every one invited me to their house for dinner and I can't express how kind and sweet they are ! I love my time there and surely I'm going back there to meet my new family. Thanks Nilkantha sir for hosting us so well and wish you all the best for your future endeavours ! You are doing amazing work ❤️

My time at the school was amazing. The place is peaceful with very little pollution, perfect for anyone who wants to experience village life. The students are lovely; they don't speak much English but are eager to learn. The host, Nilakanta, was very supportive. I taught science to the kids and learned a lot from the community. It was a great experience.
