Sophea e la sua famiglia sono molto carini e disponibili, mi hanno dato tutte le informazioni di cui avevo bisogno e mi hanno preparato degli ottimi pasti ( sono vegetariana) e ho apprezzato molto il tempo con loro. Purtroppo ero l’unica volontaria e il posto é un po isolato.
Tuttavia parlando dell’esperienza di insegnamento in generale purtroppo era non coinvolgente quanto pensavo, non mi sono sentita particolarmente utile e penso si possa lavorare un po’ di più su questo.
Tutti bambini sono molto svegli e
dolci nonostante la comunicazione fosse
purtroppo difficile ne sono grata.

Il mio tempo lì è stato rapido, ma ho apprezzato il caloroso benvenuto, l'immersione locale. E i momenti condivisi con i bambini. Una bellissima esperienza.

La mia esperienza è stata molto positiva a tutti i livelli. L'intera famiglia di Sophia è incredibile e ti fanno sentire a casa. Ho avuto la grande fortuna di essere invitata al matrimonio di uno dei suoi parenti ed è stata un'esperienza incredibile. Incoraggio più volontari a scegliere questo progetto perché hanno davvero bisogno di aiuto, ma senza dubbio quello che ricevi è molto di più.

Ho passato un tempo incredibile in questa la scuola! Sophea e Charany sono stati degli ospiti fantastici che sono stati sempre disponibili ad aiutarmi in tutto ciò di cui avevo bisogno. I pasti erano ottimi e sostanziosi, e il villaggio locale era fantastico da esplorare in bicicletta durante il giorno. Gli alunni della scuola erano così divertenti e molto appassionati della loro istruzione, il che ha reso l\'intera esperienza molto più gratificante. La consiglio vivamente e spero di tornare presto!

La mia esperienza alla scuola è stata fantastica, ho avuto una vera opportunità di mettermi in contatto con la comunità locale e con la vera Cambogia rurale. Sono stato accolto molto gentilmente da Sophea, Charany e i loro figli e sono stato trattato come parte della famiglia. È stato incredibile conoscere i bambini a scuola, imparare la loro cultura e insegnare loro un po' di inglese di base con l'aiuto degli insegnanti locali. Consiglio questa esperienza a chiunque voglia vivere la vita locale cambogiana e sentirsi realizzati con la gioia dei bambini!

I would first like to thank my host Sophea, his family and colleagues for their unwavering hospitality. I truly felt like one of the family. The lodgings were comfortable and the food delicious. They were incredibly accommodating and supportive with weekend activities, often with a meal waiting on my return. Working with the students and fellow teachers never felt like “work.” It was natural, enjoyable, and deeply rewarding. The students impressed me with their intelligence and curiosity — a true reflection of the the school's dedication to high quality education. I was sad to leave.

I only stayed here for one week. Therefore I felt like I was mostly observing and not being very helpful, since I first had to learn about the the school and how it works. It was still very nice to meet the kids. They were super fun and interested. Sophea is a friendly welcoming host who always tried to make my stay as enjoyable as possible. Sopheas wife is super friendly as well. She is also a great cook and prepared delicious meals (I am vegetarian and that was not a problem at all). I would recommend staying longer than I did to really have time to meet the kids and and help the the school.

We recently had the opportunity to volunteer at this local the school in a rural village. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed and felt like at home with Sophea and his family. We were supporting a local teacher at his English class, and we tried our best to make a positive impact with the children. The room is basic but ok and the food is very good. We also participated in community events and went to a house warming event. One of our highlights during our stay, were the children, they are so kind, adorable and with enthusiasm to learn English. I've had an amazing two weeks at the the school. Sophea and his family welcomed me with open arms and made sure I am comfortable at all times. I was teaching classes on my own from day 1. I really enjoyed this as it allowed me to connect with the kids on a deeper level. I also attended a wedding, a birthday party and a house warming party - all three amazing experiences, I've had a lot of fun meeting the local community and learning about their culture. the the school is in a rural area so a driving licence would have come in handy but the family took me wherever I needed to go. Thanks Sophea!

I spent a week teaching English here and really enjoyed it. The children were so lovely and Sophea + his family were very welcoming & accommodating and spoke great english. I was the only volunteer during my time there and it was very quiet as it's a super small village. 3 of 5 days I was leading a class by myself which was a great experience but a little tricky as I don't speak Khmer so maybe be aware of that. Overall, would recommend this volunteering to fully immerse yourself in the culture (I got to experience a Khmer wedding and local markets) and to feel like you're making a difference!
