Dettagli del programma

Our goal is to create a vibrant digital archive and promotional content that showcases the natural beauty, adrenaline-filled surf culture, and warm, welcoming community of this special place.

We're not just taking pretty pictures; we're telling stories.

The Cultural Exchange: What You'll Gain
This is so much more than just volunteer work. It's a deep dive into a new culture and a chance to build real skills.

You will learn:

Technical Skills: How to operate a professional DSLR camera in manual mode. Understanding composition, lighting, and storytelling through your lens.

Videography Basics: Shooting stable footage, capturing clean audio for interviews, and learning the basics of editing a short video.

Social Confidence: The art of approaching people, making them feel comfortable, and conducting engaging street interviews.

A Local's Perspective: We'll take you to hidden spots tourists never see, share stories over fresh fish dinners, and introduce you to the heartbeat of Portuguese coastal life.

You will leave with: An upgraded skillset, a portfolio of work, new friends from across the globe, and memories of sun, sea, and sand that will last a lifetime.

Attività e turni

Your Role & Daily Activities (No experience needed!)
Your days will be varied, fun, and always inspiring. We work around the weather and the waves!

Content Creation: Photographing and filming landscapes, seascapes, surfers, wildlife (like the birds at the Berlengas islands!), and daily life in town.

Street Interviews: Hitting the cobblestone streets to chat with travellers and locals. Asking fun questions about their experiences, their passions, and their connection to Peniche.

Story Development: Helping us brainstorm ideas for video series (e.g., "A Day in the Life of a Peniche Fisherman," "The Surfer's Morning Ritual").

Light Editing: Assisting with sorting the best photos and footage and learning the basics of piecing a story together.

We estimate 25 hours of help per week, leaving you plenty of time to explore, surf, or just relax on the beach!
