Mostly garden work, usually very hot + humid, so max work 3hrs/d. Skills like creativity, electrical, plumbing, painting, woodworking always good. We are just a few mins from the beach and have 2 dogs. Cherating is a very small , laid back place with a friendly atmosphere. There are cafes, restaurants and a few shops but no supermarkets or pharmacy. So getting groceries can be challenging. In your free time: chill, beach, river, hike…

I have just good words about my experience here. Gabi is an amazing host, she make me feel like at home. The work is easy and fair, the hours are flexible being better to work during early morning or evening for the hot weather. The room is spacious, with private toilet with views at the garden, full of trees, plants and animals that come to visit everyday. The town is beautiful, and the people around too, I was the only volunteer at that time but Gabi introduced me to her friends and I spent really good time with them. It's the perfect place to unwind, I'd definitely recommend this place.

It's a beautiful place; from the moment you arrive and see the lovely garden, you can feel peace and relaxation. The rooms are very comfortable and decorated with care. Gabi made us feel right at home. The town is small with restaurants and a surfer's beach. Thank you so much, Gabi, for everything, and lots of love.

Gaby is an excellent host; she explains daily tasks clearly and they are very easy to do. The private room is very comfortable and spacious. the guest house is located very close to the village, but keep in mind that there are no large supermarkets, only small shops and restaurants. Gaby is very kind and polite, and she has two lovely dogs who, despite being unwell, were very friendly. 100% recommended.

An incredible and unforgettable experience with Gabi, Coca, and Sina. Gabi welcomed us warmly, and we felt right at home. The garden tasks are varied, and the setting is beautiful. The room is truly comfortable and spotlessly clean. Cherating is a very quiet village where it's easy to settle in and feel at home. A huge thank you Gabi for this voluntaring experience !

We ended up spending over a month at Gabi's, and it was hard to leave because we felt so comfortable there. We received a wonderful welcome, and the room provided was really clean and spacious. We loved working in the large and beautiful garden, doing all sorts of different things. Gabi was very attentive to our needs, making sure we felt at home, and she taught us lots of things. Gabi's two dogs, Coca and Sina, are really cute.
