Staying on the permacultural farm with Camilo and Vanija was one of the greatest experiences of my travels through latinamerica. The place is beautiful and feels like a part of nature itself. The atmosphere is very welcoming and calming as well. It's a great place to get out of the city and more in touch with yourself! The work to me didn't feel like work because I was really involved in building the permacultural farm as well. It's a great chance to be part of a bigger project and really motivating to work for the 'bigger picture'.

Such a beautiful place!! Would 100% recommend this. I was lucky to be a part of a festival they celebrated in the small village. I had an amazing room to myself and great and healthy food. Camilo, Vania and her son Octavio was such nice company together with the other volunteers. I was so happy with this volunteering experience! The only thing is that I would have loved to do more work in the garden, but I think it was because of the festival, so that was the focus :) thank you for this!

Want to be immersed in beautiful countryside, use your hands and spend time with kind people working towards a more sustainable way of life? This is for you. Work wasn't too hard and planned every morning. Their new plot of land is a wildlife haven and a pleasure to help out here. As another review said, pack your own high-fives! Lol. Camilo, Vânia and Otavio make it a family atmosphere, and were generous with their time, taking us to waterfalls, local towns and watch stunning sunsets. I would love to return one day. Tip: enjoy the sunrise on the balcony listening to the birds. Joy!

I would recommend staying and volounteering at the project to people who don't mind getting their hands dirty, likes spending time outdoors and are ready to eat the best food! Both Camilo and Vanja treated me very good and the whole household had a calm and nurturing energy. The work itself not to difficult and I learned a lot about creating your own self-sufficient garden!

I had such a lovely experience staying at the project! Camilo, Vania, Julia and Otavio were all very welcoming and friendly. They hosted a macrame workshop during the first week which, despite my language barrier, was a great new skill to learn and I have come away with lots of new macrame pieces. Outside work was a bit slow due to to the weather but I enjoyed tending to the vegetable beds, planting trees at the new property and picking the fruit to be made into jams. Mealtimes were a great time to immerse myself into the Portuguese language and the food was always very delicious and home-grown.

I had a wonderful experience at the project! The hosts Camilo, Vania and Julia were very welcoming and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The work was very reasonable and the hours were flexible, so we had time to go hiking and explore the beautiful sights and waterfalls nearby. It was very interesting to learn more about gardening, sustainability and community, and to be part of this beautiful project. I am so grateful for this whole experience and I hope to return soon!

This experience was amazing, very chill and flexible with many different projects to chose from. it was a great balance between work and play and the facilities are very homy, we felled like were part of the family (team) from day one!

The project is a very interesting project in that they utilize a variety of ecological and sustainable solutions to experiment and educate. The property is located in a beautiful and small agricultural community that was quite relaxing and enjoyable to explore. Muito obrigado to the project team! The exchange was quite fair and relaxing! Work hours were respected (loosely 7:30-12:00) and usually involved cleaning, pulling weeds and planting in the garden, or helping to explore the newly purchased forest property. English was a little limited, but there was usually someone around to translate.

Camilo and Vânia are incredibly nice people, I had a really good time and felt welcome. the project is located in a rural area with beautiful nature around, every day it was a joy to look from the windows and explore the area. We had nice meals every day, with vegetables from te garden. It was a perfect opportunity for me to relax and breathe a bit, as I just left Rio carnaval. This place is perfect to relax and connect with nature.
