It was definitely an excellent start, it was my first volunteering experience and I cannot be more happy to have taken this decision. the hostel has a nice environment, and I meet so amazing people that I will love to continue to meet again!

In this hostel we have the opportunity to practice languages and shared cultures with the guests and volunteers. The hostel is very nice, is located in a good place of the city. The people that you can meet in this space will be amazing. Thanks so much for the opportunity.

The experience was incredible! I felt very at home My gratitude to Clas and Elias, who is the manager here at the hostel where I stayed. Shifts strictly respected, excellent atmosphere among volunteers, possibility of interacting with people from different places, as well as the chance to get to know this interesting country that is the hostel!

My experience at the hostel was definitely special! From meeting a lot of travelers from all over the world to having the opportunity to explore the beautiful city of Tirana. The tasks at the hostel were simple and fair and the hours were respected. Also, it has an amazing environment and a great location, with everything you might need nearby. A huge thank you to Elias and Claas, for being great hosts and to all the other volunteers I got to work with. Hopefully, I'll have the pleasure to come back one day :)

I couldn't have asked for anything better for my first worldpackers experience! The Hostel is new and 15 min away from the city center, with supermarkets, coffee shops and restaurants around but in an incredibly quiet neighborhood for being Tirana. Your responsabilities are clear since the beginning and you have different shifts through the week. Both Elias and Claas are always kind and willing to help and with the rest of the volunteers and the guest, and incredible atmosphere is created in the hostel. Enjoy the terrace at the top and give Niki, the dog from the neighbor, lots of cuddles!

Pretty dope place. I ended up at LOFT which is the older one but I believe in “I'm exactly where I should be at the time I should be” so It was okay…just keep in mind you could be at either. Also, don't take offense to Claas he's hard on the outside pretty snarky remarks but on the inside he cares lol Volunteers while I was there were amazing everyone pretty much helped each other and respected each others space. This was a great experience

"Hard on the outside" is a quality U have to develop somehow when you work with approx 150 volunteers a year. Does not mean to be hard on all of them but the less I am the more (at least that counts for some volunteers) forget our agreement. Some volunteers take advantage if they think being nice means not to care. But I care a lot for the hostel and the guests we host as well as for the volunteers.
In general volunteers are ending up at the hostel they applied for...so I really thank U for the flexibility. It really helped...it's a problem if volunteers are not showing up and even more if they don't notify us. In cases like that, and they are rare because most of the volunteers we had over the years take it serious, it can be that we need to ask if it is ok to be hosted at the other hostel...

Fue una experiencia muy linda , hice muchos amigos y el trato y el lugar estuvieron muy geniales , el anfitrión siempre dispuesto a ayudar y todo el staff buenos amigos , lo recomiendo para conocer tirana está súper céntrico y las actividades son tranquilas y faciles sin duda el mejor voluntariado

Mon volontariat s'est absolument bien déroulé. Le temps de travail et les tâches sont bien respectés et ceci laisse beaucoup de temps pour explorer la ville et le reste du pays. Claas a été très accueillant et nous a même fait découvrir un village typique non loin de la capitale lors d'une journée avec les autres volontaires. L'auberge est bien située, de la nourriture est achetée pour que chacun.e puisse cuisiner de son côté ou ensemble et le rooftop en vaut sacrément la peine !! Bref superbe expérience que je recommande !

La experiencia en el hostel fue OK. Se cumplió con lo acordado aunque creo que se podria mejorar mucho mas el ambiente y la vibra de trabajo. Sentí que cada persona iba por su cuenta y no había una integración entre los voluntarios. Además creo que las tareas del horario de la mañana eran un poco pesadas para ser realizadas solo por una persona. Ya que son cerca de 30 camas, 4 baños y zonas comunes las que debes de asear. El hostal se sostiene enteramente por voluntarios, considero bueno tener algun personal de limpieza dedicado, pues no deja de ser una empresa.

Não gostaria de falar nada sobre esse lugar. Nunca pensei que passaria por uma situação tão desagradável. Antes de Tirana eu tive boas experiências com hóspedes de diversas nacionalidades mesmo não sendo fluente em inglês. Fui honesta e transparente, pedi paciência e precisava de pelo menos um pouco de educação, coisas que este anfitrião claramente não possui. Homem grosseiro, sem paciência, nada hospitaleiro e na minha opinião, falta respeito com seus voluntários. Minha saúde, estabilidade emocional e minha experiência como viajante vale mais do que cama e comida. Fui embora, agora estou bem.

Our requirement is intermediate, not perfect, English. We accept limited English only if volunteers can understand instructions and respond at a basic level. Rebeca's messages gave us the impression she met this requirement. On arrival, she had virtually no functional English; her messages appeared to have been translated. We treated her kindly and never asked her to leave. When we calmly raised the issue, she reacted strongly and chose to leave, although we were willing to discuss alternatives.
Viele Worldpackers haben sich kürzlich auf diese Stelle beworben. Der Host wird wahrscheinlich nicht auf alle Bewerbungen antworten können, daher empfehlen wir dir, dich auch bei anderen Hosts in unserer Gemeinschaft zu bewerben und nicht nur bei diesem :)
