Although the lodge is a bit far from the town itself, Vincent and Claire offered many options to move around, sometimes offering themselves to take us near our destinations or even pick us up. The tasks were really easy to complete and the people in general were very kind. There were so many moments we thanked them for, that we even ran out of ways to show our appreciation. We arrived on March and stayed there for a month for the low season. If you are not planning on skiing, there are plenty of places to visit and do some sightseeing. We are sure you will have a great experience.

It was a great experience, I can't recommend it enough. Tasks and hours were respected; the work itself might seem like a lot at first but it's not and it's really easy; also, you get a private room. Vincent and Claire are amazing hosts who'll listen to you and try help you as much as possible. If you have any questions just ask away. Vincent, as he said, is unbotherable haha I had never done any snowboarding at all, nor anything of the sort, so it was my first experience doing that. I went many days to the slopes and managed to improve quite a bit. I wanna come back. Thank you for everything!

I spent two incredible months at the guest house, surrounded by snow everywhere. I had the opportunity to improve my English with the entire team and guests and practice snowboarding every day. If you are also passionate about sports, this is the best opportunity! The managers, Vincent and Claire, are kind and always willing to help. We can only thank them!

If you want to experience a true winter season, Niseko is the place of your dreams. Snow every day and everywhere. As Brazilians who had only seen snow once in our lives, this opportunity was a huge achievement for us! Vincent and Claire are extremely attentive managers. All volunteers who work with them will be lucky to be guided by such patient people who are always willing to teach. We are very grateful and highly recommend this place. If you are unsure about going to the guest house, go and don't think twice! 🤍

A summer stay in Niseko with the warm managers Claire and Vincent is a nice way to discover the nature and area of South-West Hokkaido. Summer offers different festivals in the area, and the vulcanic region is ideal for hikes and onsens. Overall a positive experience and alternative introduction to Japan for me! The work itself is typical hotel work: cleaning, rooms, breakfast, cooking for Japanese bento boxes.

The guest house setting is beautiful, with great onsens and activities. The work is straightforward, and Vincent and Claire were very welcoming However, the organization and living conditions ruined the experience. The "private room" was a low attic where standing was impossible, with uncomfortable sofas instead of beds. With the managers on vacation, we faced heavy pressure and had to constantly supervise others to stay afloat. As the only Japanese speaker, I was repeatedly contacted on my days off, making proper rest impossible It's unfortunate: the location is superb, but the lack of comfort

Thank you for that honest feedback. We did underestimate the work load during our absence and that combined with other factors caused an unfair pressure to you and many team members that we are trully sorry about. We are already thinking on what's the best way to proceed next time we have to be away for a while to avoid reproducing that really terrible situation. Regarding the room, we also appreciate the feedback and are already taking action to get proper mattresses and ways to improve comfort

We had an amazing time at the guest house! Claire and Vincent are wonderful people—easy-going, friendly, and great to spend time with. It was a pleasure getting to know them during our stay. The tasks were simple, and the working hours were always respected. We also enjoyed exploring the area; there are many hiking options, and we even got a bit of snow and were able to go snowboarding. It felt great to be surrounded by nature again. We definitely recommend this experience to travellers who want to explore Japanese nature and meet new friends, and we're already looking forward to going back.

Volunteering at the guest house was an incredible experience! Claire and Vincent are super friendly and easy-going, and it was a pleasure to hang out with them in the evenings. The tasks were clear and simple, and our working hours were respected. There are plenty of hikes around the property, and when there's enough snow, snowboarding and sledding that anyone could want. We loved having the opportunity to be in nature after spending a couple of weeks in big cities. We would definitely go back and help out again!

It was great to expend 2 weeks in the Lodge at the end of November. The lodge is in a ski resort and the ski season hadn't started yet so the work load was not very high. Also the work was usually easy and well explained. You can always ask Vincent and Claire if you have any doubt or need assistance. They are great hosts and they will make you feel comfortable all the time. The Lodge is in a quiet area, you will enjoy It if you like that kind of quiet life or if you like outdoors activities. Also, you can use the bus to travel to Sapporo and Otaru in your free days. I highly recomend It.

I really enjoyed my stay here in Niseko. The space was so very sweet. I valued greatly the slowness. I came during the off season when not much was going on and it was perfect for me to take time to meditate, read and just enjoy watching the leaves change and the snow fall. The work is extremely fair and not too hard, in my personal experience you didn't even work the full 3 hours most days - but of course that will differ from time to time. The hosts, Vincent and Claire are very kind souls :) and I am grateful that they share this space with others. If you like alone time - this is great ⋆˚꩜
