Détails du programme
Join us at Sæteråsen, a horse farm and riding school surrounded by the beautiful nature of Northern Norway. During four weeks of summer horse camps, you will help us create a warm, clean and welcoming environment for our young participants.
Your main role will be preparing meals, keeping the facilities clean and supporting the daily routines of the camp. All meals are included during the camp weeks, and you will eat together with the participants and our team.
You may also stay with us for up to two weeks before and two weeks after the camps. There are no work duties during these additional weeks, giving you time to travel and explore Norway. During the work-free weeks, you must provide your own food.
Activités et horaires
The daily routine starts at 08:00 with preparing and serving breakfast. Afterwards, you will clean the kitchen, dining area and shared spaces. Other practical tasks may include mowing the lawn and helping to keep the farm area tidy.
Lunch is served at approximately 12:00 and dinner at 15:00. After each meal, you will clear the tables, wash the dishes and clean the kitchen. Toilets and common areas must also be cleaned regularly.
After the dinner clean-up, you will have a longer break until 20:00. You will then prepare and serve a simple evening meal, take care of the dishes and help with the participants’ evening and bedtime routines.
On Fridays, you will help clean the participants’ cabin and prepare it for the next camp group.
Règles
We expect our helpers to be reliable, punctual and comfortable working around children. Please follow the instructions and safety routines given by the camp leaders.
Good hygiene is essential when preparing food and cleaning kitchens, toilets and shared spaces. Please clean as you work and leave all areas ready for the next meal or activity.
Always communicate with the children in a friendly, calm and respectful way. Their safety and well-being are our highest priorities. Please respect their privacy and do not share photos or information about participants without permission.
Horse handling and riding are not part of this position unless specifically agreed with the camp leaders.
During the four camp weeks, meals are included. During the optional work-free weeks before and after the camps, you are responsible for buying and preparing your own food.
