My experience with Tono, Demo and Simeon was truly special! Tono and Demo are kind, professional and incredibly attentive. From the first day to the last, they always made me feel welcome and part of the family. Simeon is a the home, curious and energetic kid, always ready for a new adventure, so be prepared to have lots of fun with him! I stayed for two months and everything was amazing. I highly recommend this experience. I came as a volunteer and left with wonderful memories and three amazing friends. ❤️

Demo and Tono are wonderful hosts, who respected our hours and organised things (accommodation, transport, food) excellently. Bulgaria is an amazing country - the locals are kind and the landscapes beautiful. We had an amazing work:life balance so could experience this all and visit closeby Greece. Simeon is a child with lots of potential, and energy! I think its important to note that at times this role is best described as a nanny rather than friend, but the parents are always around to help. This trip is best suited for pairs/couples and I'd definitely recommend it.

We had the opportunity to stay with Demo and Tono for two months, we worked with Simeon a very curious child, he wants to play all the time so be prepared 😉. We suggest to have a some experience with children before coming here. Anyway, Demo and Tono are wonderful people, they helped us when we needed and took amazing care of us under all aspects. They are very kind, so if you do your job you will be rewarded. If you are considering this experience, you can absolutely write to us for some more info . We had such a special time in Bulgaria! Demo and Tono were super kind and generous, willing to be flexible and ready to help us out to ensure we had the best experience possible. Simeon is a very smart and energetic kid- so I would recommend doing this trip as a pair, and getting in touch with previous volunteers to get a good idea of his passions and his personality! It was also so useful to have access to a car on this trip and we saw so much beauty in Bulgaria and Greece. Thank you Demo and Tono 🤗

Demo and Tono were amazing! They always were willing to do whatever to make sure you have a good time! The accommodations and hours are exactly what we agreed upon. Simeon is a loving kid with alot of energy. He is very active and in return its imperative that you are just as well. Very one was so kind and it was exactly what was agreed upon.

I really enjoyed my time at the home! The living space is very nice and you have a lot of time to explore the surrounding town which is super cute. It was also really helpful to be able to use the car at times to explore further out on off days! Simeon is a super fun and energetic kid and we learned a lot together. Will miss them all!

I was there for 3 weeks and it was a rewarding and amazing experience! Simeon is such a fun, sweet and smart boy and I really enjoyed interacting with him and getting to know him. Demo and Tono were also very kind, flexible and supportive and it made the stay very pleasant. I will miss my time in Bulgaria :)

I spent a month and a half here and enjoyed it very much. demo & tono treated us well, with a safe, comfortable place to stay and delicious bulgarian foods. i enjoyed learning with and from simeon, and seeing him grow and learn both through school and play. i recommend this experience if you are looking to connect with children & explore the beauty of bulgaria.

Demo and Tono are the best hosts. This was our first Worldpackers experience, and we loved it. The tasks were as agreed, and Demo and Tono are very flexible. Thanks to them, we discovered incredible places. We had time to explore different parts of Bulgaria and try local cuisine. Simeon is a very intelligent boy, full of energy and eager to learn new things. An experience we will always remember.

My stay with Demo and Tono was a great personal experience. They provided everything I needed to feel relaxed and comfortable: a private place in nature, good food, and nice weekends. They took care of me. As my first volunteering experience, I met wonderful volunteers and learned a lot. Simeon is a smart child with great potential, but he needs more interaction with kids his age. Sometimes he became aggressive from boredom, as he spends much time at home. Overall, it was a positive experience, and I hope Simeon can spend more quality time with his parent and interact more with other kids.

We’d like to clarify one important point: this role is not simple childcare, but a science- and curiosity-driven mentoring role, which requires active engagement and leading activities. Simeon is a very curious, intelligent, and kind child, and when he isn’t sufficiently challenged or guided, frustration can naturally appear.
We know this is not an easy role and it’s not for everyone 🙂
