Holbox is an amazing island and I would recommend anyone to go visit if you love the beach and camping (since you'll be sleeping in a tent)! It is a little more expensive than the rest of Mexico, so be prepared for that. As for the hostel, the team I worked with was amazing, and the hostel was a really chill atmosphere. However, multiple times I felt disrespected by management and I was blamed for things that were out of my control. Aside from that, it was a great experience!

I'm really glad you had such a great time in Holbox and got along well with the team! I apologize for making you feel disrespected and appreciate your feedback - this is not how I would ever want to make someone feel.
Unfortunately, already on the first day, it became evident that you had strongly exaggerated your kitchen experience. Guests and other team members often complained about the quality of work and over time it became unsatisfying that certain mistakes were repeated.
Still, your outgoing personality contributed to a great atmosphere at the hostel and I'm sorry we didn't get off on the right foot. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors and great onward travels.

Life was so beautiful in the hostel that I can say I lived a dream in Holbox! Do not worry about anything here, just enjoy the real good life of volunteer. Tati is a special soul in this world who will help you all the time in a very sweet way and Delphine will bring the energy to understand that life in Holbox is amazing! Work is easy if you put your attention to it. Meet people from all over the world. Make connections with them, with yourself and the magic island!

Mi experiencia en el hostel fue maravillosa. Estuve un mes y, al irme, sentí que estaba dejando mi casa, los huéspedes y los otros voluntarios y trabajadores se convierten en una pequeña familia, y el ambiente es increíblemente acogedor. Aquí realmente se crean vínculos reales, con personas de todo el mundo que se sienten cercanas desde el primer día. Si buscas una experiencia que combine voluntariado, amistad, y la magia de un lugar único, el hostel es definitivamente el lugar indicado.🧡

Es el mejor lugar para hacer tu primer voluntariado, se siente todo muy familiar, sin duda el hostel es mi segunda casa!! La isla es bellisima sin duda regresaría una y mil veces, es el lugar perfecto para desconectarte de todo y conectar contigo mismo, conoces personas de todo el mundo y todos los voluntarios son súper amigables.

Mi voluntariado en el hostel fue perfecto. Jess (la encargada) fue un amor y siempre súper comprensiva con todos mis cambios de planes. Una experiencia hermosa, conocí gente muy linda, la isla es increíble, y el trabajo es súper súper fácil. Son unas 4 horitas al día, básicamente preparas un desayuno bien fácil y luego lo sirves. Fácil y cómodo, no se puede pedir más jejeje. Un abrazo al equipo. Gracias por todo!

Estoy muy agradecido a todo/as. Recomiendo muchísimo el voluntariado en el hostel. Hay muy buen ambiente, buena comunicación entre voluntarios y huéspedes, actividades en grupo, y los desayunos son estupendos! Gracias! :)

Mi estancia en el the hostel fue como un hogar lejos de mi casa, el hostal se siente muy tranquilo y se cumplió todo lo acordado, pude conectar con viajeros increíbles y para mi fue una experiencia muy enriquecedora en muchos aspectos :)
