The Experience

We mainly need volunteers welcoming and receiving travelers from all over the world: looking after their needs, checking in, serving drinks at the bar, helping in the kitchen etc. Enjoy your free time chilling around a bonfire, going for a surf, a hike, a swim at waterfalls, you name it! We offer many outdoor activities as well as nice locals. And who can say no to this view??

From the first moment, I felt at home. The welcome was warm, genuine and very attentive. I would like to highlight the professionalism and kindness of the staff, always ready to help, give a tip about the area or just share a good conversation. That care makes all the difference. The exchange was amazing. The hostel environment provides exactly what a traveler looks for: connection with new people, stories from all over the world, respect and good vibes. I made friendships that I will take with me. And what a beautiful place! The house is charming, clean, well organized, and the location is

This was my first volunteering position and I had the best time! It seems like everyone who comes to the hostel falls in love with the place and it was so sad to leave. I stayed for two months and it really became a home. I had never worked in a bar before but you learn the work very quick and get great experiences. the hostel is a small town but so lovely. I felt very safe and there is lots to do. I met so many AMAZING people and will cherish the all the memories I made for life. Thank you the hostel!!!

The hostel was an amazing place to spend my time. It's away from the bustling cities like Cape Town but definitely had its unique charm. Had to cut short my trip there due to a family emergency but Yvette was very understanding. People are lovely, just communicate how you prefer to be treated

It was such a pleasure to have Valia with us. He is so caring , giving always ready to help us out. He is a very hard worker and will step in when we need him even if he was not scheduled to work. Valia is also an amazing artist. He can make paper come alive. His soft spoken demeanor and his beautiful heart crept into all of us and we were really sad to see him go home. I was so proud to have him as part of our team. I wish him only the best for the future and hope he will return to us.

Amelia formed part of our team immediately. She is experience behind a bar and in the kitchen. Amelia is a hard worker and can fill in anywhere she is needed. Her organizing skills is beyond amazing (I just realized this too late). Amalia just naturally formed part of us and soon we could not even imagine her not being there. Amelia we miss you a lot. Enjoy your travels and you will always have a home here with us
