I really enjoyed my stay in Tromsø and definitely recommend it for everyone wanting to explore the area. Teresa is a great host, super nice and easy to talk to! The work is exactly as described, doesn't take a lot of time and the schedule is super flexible, which is great if you are on the hunt for good weather. There is a lot of solo travelers staying in the hostel, but most of them don't stay very long. In Tromsø itself it's not that easy to meet people, so I spent a lot of time by myself, which I didn't mind. I loved the calm vibe of the city and went on amazing hikes and tours :)

Being in Tromsø and helping out at the hostel was a really comfortable and fun experience. First of all you have your own room which is super nice. The work is super manageable and easy to do. Teresa communicates the tasks well and is really easy to talk to and flexible about your shifts. Tromsø is a lively city with a lot of cafes and bars Thanks for letting me stay here and being so flexible with my health issues I had in between. :)

I really enjoyed may stay at the hostel! Teresa is a very nice host and the communication was always very good. The work is simple and the hours were pretty flexible in my case (we were enough volunteers and it was not peak season). I even had my own room, which i really enjoyed :) Thank you Teresa for the nice stay!

I really enjoyed my stay at Tromsø the hostel. Teresa is super nice, and I always enjoyed talking to her. She explained all the tasks to me in the beginning, and gave some advice on what you can do in Tromsø, which was really helpful. The tasks were clearly defined, not too much, and like written in the description only took 2, maybe 3 hours. If you have any questions, you can always ask Teresa, so you don't need to worry. I can really recommend staying at Tromsø the hostel to anyone. :)

The experience at the hostel was fantastic. The centrally located hostel receives many adventurous travelers and has a living room with a very cozy atmosphere. I had the opportunity to share hikes and tours with guests and new friends. Tromsø can be an expensive city, but at the hostel you can cook your own food in the well-equipped kitchen. The tasks were clear and simple and as a volunteer you have your private room. The host is a very kind person and she puts a lot of love into the hostel; she makes everyone feel welcome. It was an honor to volunteer at the hostel :)

My experience at the hostel was fantastic: Teresa is very welcoming and helpful and she is very flexible with regards to days off. The room provided is very comfortable and the hostel is a great place to meet other travellers in the common areas. This is a great option for someone who wants to get to know Tromsø!

Experiência única e maravilhosa, Teresa é uma pessoa divertida, organizada, flexível e atenta. Agradeço muito pela oportunidade que ela oferece aos viajantes de descobrir Tromsø em troca de uma pequena ajuda. As tarefas eram simples e tudo estava muito claro desde o primeiro dia, além disso Teresa é muito flexível com os dias livres para que você possa aproveitar e explorar. Teresa me recebeu super bem, até com uns crampons para a neve que me pareceram um gesto muito bonito. As tarefas são simples e poucas horas por semana, o que permite você aproveitar Tromso. Em relação aos dias livres, também é bem flexível. A localização do hostel não poderia ser melhor. Pude ver as auroras boreais desde o próprio centro ou também em áreas próximas, com menos poluição luminosa. Tivemos algumas diferenças com Teresa (que para ela não tinha acontecido antes com outros voluntários nem para mim com outros anfitriões), mas conseguimos comunicá-las. Enfim, recomendo.

Personalmente, para mí ha sido genial. Al principio tenía mis dudas y la verdad que en cuanto llegué allí, se disiparon por completo. El sitio super bien, las tareas muy sencillas y livianas, además la anfitriona es un amor y lo hace todo muy fácil y sencillo. Flexibilidad y facilidades 100%. Todo muy cómodo; la habitación, la ubicación... lo recomendaría con los ojos cerrados y además que Tromso es un sitio precioso. (Ha sido una super experiencia, mil gracias por todo Teresa!🙂💜)

Ha sido un auténtico placer el voluntariado en el hostel, el trabajo en sí es sencillo y fácil de realizar. Teresa un amor también, me enseñó todo lo que necesitaba y hemos podido hablar si necesitaba algo. Cada día me podía relacionar con gente nueva aunque también tenía mi espacio separado para desconectar. Además de que estaba en el mismo centro de Tromsø!! Totalmente recomendable
