Ce fut ma première expérience avec Workpackers, j'ai donc maintenant une meilleure idée du type de choses à rechercher.
Mon hôte et moi avions des attentes différentes concernant le niveau et le type de travail requis. J'espérais passer plus de temps à m'occuper des animaux. Le travail nécessaire était plutôt axé sur le nettoyage - la maison et la zone des animaux.

Merci pour votre message. Je suis désolé que vos attentes n'aient pas été satisfaites. Vous avez postulé pour un poste de jardinier, axé sur l'entretien extérieur, pas sur le soin des animaux. Après votre arrivée, vous m'avez informé que vous ne pouviez pas effectuer ces tâches. J'ai également constaté qu'il n'y avait pas de confiance naturelle avec les animaux. Pour ces raisons, j'ai décidé de mettre fin à l'expérience plus tôt. Je vous souhaite tout le meilleur pour trouver un placement plus adapté.

J'ai passé un moment incroyable avec Allyson et ses chiens ! Elle sait vraiment comment vous mettre à l'aise et c'est une personne très aimable. La maison est située dans un quartier très agréable et Allyson peut vous donner plein de conseils et d'informations sur la région ! Je vais certainement regretter d'être là et j'ai hâte d'y retourner !!

The experience with Allyson was incredible!! The house is wonderful, with a great structure. The bedroom is perfect with a very comfortable bed, the kitchen is fully equipped and she makes all the equipment available for use. Some days, due to the number of animals in the house, you end up feeling a bit overwhelmed hahaha, but nothing that a job outside the house taking care of the chickens or cutting wood can't help to distract you (using headphones while working also helps hahah). My relationship with Allyson was very good, we had good conversations and exchanged personal experiences.

My experience with Allyson was beyond expectations. This is perfect for dog lovers, as you'll share spaces with over 20 dogs. She also has chickens, a rabbit, and cats, each in their own area. I helped with cleaning and creating Instagram accounts, but you can also assist with outdoor tasks as building a fence for her field around the house. Work starts at 8the guest house30 AM but is flexible, with respected hours. You can hike around the house (1-hour walk from the train station), and Allyson can give you a ride too. This train station is about 30 minutes from Bologna.

This experience volunteering with 26 dogs was life changing, and altered my perspective of life in so many ways. Allyson was the most amazing, genuine, caring, and charismatic woman I have ever met!! She is a beauitful soul, and she taught me so much. From teaching me Italian, showing me Italian movies, making me amazing Italian meals and just highlighting cultural differences— I was given ample opportunity to immerse myself in the culture. She introduced me to locals as well!! She cares so deeply for her animals— and I just loved them SO much, and taking care of them. I hope to be back ❤️

It was a wonderful experience being with Allyson! Your dogs are also incredible and very special, I loved being with them. The place is beautiful, all work carried out was as agreed and schedules were flexible. Allyson loves to share, we often cooked food together, went for walks and got to know the region. I learned a lot during those days, we became great friends, it was an experience that I will always remember with great affection. I recommend it to everyone :)

The days I spent at the guest house Dogs on Bologna's hills were wonderful, Allyson has great affection and care for me and the dogs, cats, chickens and rabbits, she is always ready to help, she cares if we are well, she always asks if something is missing or if I wanted something, she is wonderful in the kitchen and made wonderful dishes, she made me feel at ease and comfortable to work and carry out the tasks, she accepted suggestions and I was able to feel at home, in addition, the Allyson's house has a wonderful energy. My experience with Ally was one of the best! She is a totally amazing woman with a huge heart who cares about the well-being of both her animals and her volunteers. I never felt so at home as with her. I really recommend this experience to other volunteers who want to be in contact with animals and nature.

I highly recommend this experience for proactive individuals unafraid of cleaning tasks. At the Sanctuary of Dogs, Allyson's compassion for the guest house is inspiring. Her strength and wonderful personality are admirable. Living and sharing meals with her and other volunteers created a strong community bond. The sanctuary is located a bit far from the city center, with no nearby bus stops, which adds to its peaceful atmosphere but requires careful transportation planning. My time there was fulfilling and enriching.
