We are looking for proactive, attentive and experienced hospitality volunteers who enjoy working with guests and know how good restaurant service works.
This position is best suited for people with previous experience in restaurants, cafés, bars, hostels or similar hospitality environments. We are specifically looking for volunteers who take initiative and are used to work in busy places. You should not need someone to tell you every small task.

Hospitality Volunteer – Restaurant, Bar & Guest Experience
Join us here at a social jungle hostel near Tayrona National Park.
We are looking for experienced hospitality volunteers who are proactive, attentive and confident working with guests.
This position is best suited for people who already have experience in restaurants, bars, cafés, hostels or similar hospitality environments.
We are not looking for volunteers who need to be told every small task.
You should naturally notice when a table needs cleaning, when a guest needs attention, when someone is ready for another drink, or when something needs to be organized.
What we are looking for:
We prefer volunteers with at least 6 months of restaurant, bar or hospitality experience.
You should be:
Proactive
Attentive
Social and confident
Comfortable approaching guests
Fast and organized
Comfortable working on your feet
Able to work without constant supervision
Good at spotting what needs to be done
Comfortable with cleaning
A strong team player
A good volunteer does not wait for a guest to ask for help.
You should notice things first.
Empty drink? Offer another one.
Finished plates? Clear them.
Dirty table? Clean it.
Guest looking around? Approach them.
Quiet moment? Clean, organize, check on guests, find something to do, there is always something you can clean.
Your main tasks:
Welcome and assist guests
Restaurant and table service
Take food and drink orders
Deliver food and drinks
Clear and reset tables
Keep restaurant and guest areas clean and organized
Help with bar service when needed
Recommend food, drinks and activities
Check on guests throughout their experience
Help maintain a friendly and social atmosphere
Support the team wherever needed
Cleaning is part of the position. Everyone helps keep the hostel clean and organized.
Important rules
Phone use during shifts is not allowed. This is non-negotiable.
Volunteers should not sit around during shifts when there is work to be done.
No alcohol during shifts. Zero drugs tolerance policy.
Guests always come before socializing with friends.
We expect volunteers to arrive on time, stay active and take responsibility for their area.

This is not a position for someone mainly looking for free accommodation or a party experience.
We are looking for people who enjoy providing great service and who take pride in doing a good job.
What we offer:
- A volunteering position for 5 days (6 hours per day) helping out the hostel.
- 3 vegetarian meals a day.
- A bed in the team dorm
- 2 days off, you can discover many beautiful places nearby.
Minimum stay:
2 weeks, maximum stay 4 weeks.
