The Experience

This position is for a female, since you will all be staying in predominantly female dorm. Your responsibilities will include regular cleaning of the common areas, mowing, and other odd-jobs such as painting or other tasks (depending on ability) Occasinally I may need help at other nearby locations. You'll be within 15 mins walk of the train station, which runs to Dallas & Fort Worth. You'll have use of the washer / dryer & internet.

Corine is kind, funny, respectful and creative. She helped me learn new things and gave me a beautiful room for 3 weeks. I just sometimes didn't understand her English because of her British accent, but then we spoke in Spanish. I recommend going through this experience if you want to spend some time in Dallas.

It was a amazing experience, Corinne is a wonderful host and she help us on what we need. The work on the house was amazing, I learned new skills and Corinne is a nice person to teach how to do those things. It was my first experience with volunteer and I it was better than I imagined. 10/10 totally recommend!

The host has 2 openings, and I was the only person there, so I was expected to do both jobs in the allotted time. Not allowed to check phone. Not allowed to take breaks. Doing either requires you to put in overtime. At the end of the last day working day, host threatened to kick me out if I didn't stay past the agreed upon working time because I sat down to rest my pulled back muscle.

Jack was assigned the various responsibilities stated in the listing. Unfortunately he opted to take frequent breaks and declined to make up the time. As a result, he failed in his commitment to work the agreed hours.
