Rafael is very welcoming and fun. During my stay, I had a room to myself; the tasks were very relaxed, and he also buys the food. The language school offers various courses, and you contribute by using your native language. The accommodation is located in Sabaneta, close to the metro.

Loved the experience and wished I could do it again. Rafael is so passionate about languages and the school he runs is very successful. I was volunteering with my father and he made sure our stay in Medellin was amazing. From arranging Airbnb to buying us food, Rafael gave us amazing hospitality. The work was fun as well as flexible, and creates real social impact.

Amazing experience! Rafael is SO open, nice and helpful, he truly loves languages and cultures and makes sure to show volunteers the local (and his own — Venezuelan) culture in the most authentic way. The sessions with Comuna 13 kids are incredibly rewarding and fun, the other tasks I had were online conversation sessions in English and some content creation. Living arrangements are nice, having my own room in a secure neighbourhood of Medellín felt like a luxury. Infinitely grateful!

My second time volunteering here was just as amazing as the first! A huge thanks to Rafael for being so accommodating; he even handled my meals and transport while I was visiting with family. I volonteered 1 week at the home online School with Rafael :). Since the school is based in Venezuela & the students are everywhere, it s only online classes. I taught mostly chinese 3 to 4 h/day Monday to Thursday from my computer. Students were very nice, I enjoyed the experience! Rafael was very welcoming and willing to share his culture. He cooks very well and neighborhood is safe and nice. His home is small. One advice: ask before if you ll have to share a bed with someone. I was surprised and it was not confortable for me. It is not a place for cleaning freaks (: but it s a welcoming home

Rafa is once again the best I have been there two times and the schedule and work that I had to do is very flexible and straightforward. As well, it allows you alot of time to know medellin in your free time.

I volunteered in Medellín for two weeks, holding online meetings every few days to share Korean culture and language, and recording a short video for the language school's social media. Rafael was respectful, supportive, and eager to connect with friends from around the world. He introduced me to Venezuelan culture, language exchange events, and different areas of Medellín. Although the work lacked a clear structure, it was manageable, and Rafael kindly offered me delicious food each time. I stayed in a private room in an apartment in the safe area in Medellin.

My experience was 10 of out 10. I have had opportunity to be involved by the medellin culture and explore every single corner of Medellin which I would say it is a magnificent city. Likewise, I could show my abilities as an English teacher at the Comuna 13 to children. On the other hand, Rafa as host was very attentive and frendly, always asked me what to needed all time. Defenetely, I would come back here was amazing experience and a great culture exchange.

Beds had bed bugs so with my friends we decided not to sleep there, Rafael told us that he will find a solution, the next day we all searched for an new place to stay but the room was available only 3 days later, so I said to Rafael that it was okay during those 3 days we will go to visit Guatape with my friends and we will come back 3 days after. He said he will take everything in charge etc. 3 days later we arrived to the new place where we were supposed to meet, he never answered our calls, our messages, until now he still didn't …
