Numesh is an exceptional host, and has become a true friend. He showed and taught me so many things about Sri Lankan life and legends and truths and wonders, that it is difficult to fully express here. In short, I will never forget my time at the home Homestay and it will live fondley in my heart forever. Also, clean place, flexible work hours, full kitchen and great location. Garden hostel vibe in nature and peace and quiet, yet still only a 5 min walk to the main road and bus lines etc., 20 min ride to the beach, and this dude took me surfing, to the local natural swimming pool and more! 5 stars

Thank you so much for this experience and hosting us. Numesh has a great plan for his garden, and I think it will be nice to the community. He's a nice guy and I loved to meet his girlfriend, who showed me how to dress a saree. She's the best. He took us to see around and is always trying to help. I hope we cross paths again 💕

It was a nice two weeks of staying at Numesh's place. He explained me the things that Sri Lankans are facing and I was able to feel it on my own skin. The work was flexible. He showed me the surroundings on his motorbike, but if I wasn't scared of the driving on the left side I could borrow it on my own. He's communicative and knows a lot about the history of Sri Lanka.

It was a pleasure staying at the home with Numesh :) The work consists of making the house and garden feel more like home. The volunteering hours are very flexible and you have plenty of time to explore the nearby towns and surfing spots. Numesh is always available to help, takes you out on little scooter trips and shows you what it's really like to live in Sri Lanka. The cooking classes and collecting ingredients from the garden were one of the top experiences. Overall, I would recommend this volunteering position to anyone who would like to truly immerse themselves in local culture.

My host Numesh, was a really friendly and welcoming person. We talked a lot during my the home, and he also helped me explore nearby places and meet local people. I even celebrated the Full Moon festival with him, which became a very special experience for me. He is a very flexible and kind host. I originally booked for 5 days, but I decided to the home longer because I truly enjoyed the place and the atmosphere. The location is peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by nature — a perfect place to relax and experience local life.

Numesh is awesome! I learned a lot about Sri Lankan social norms, ate lots of local food and spent plenty of time outside. I would recommend this experience to anyone who's looking to get to know Sri Lanka on a more fundamental level. Numesh is relatable, lighthearted and likes to have fun! I will be back again <3

I am deeply grateful to have had one of the best experiences at Family House; the hosts are incredibly kind, humble, cheerful, and welcoming people. Thank you for allowing me to become part of your family. I spent my time doing some construction work and repairs in the garden, ate the best Sri Lankan food, and, in doing so learned a great deal about the local culture and way of life. The work schedule aligned perfectly with my plans for my free time. Tasks began at 8:30 a.m we would have toast with the best tea for breakfast, and then we would gather leaves in the garden or work on a specific.

You brought a lot of positive energy to our place, and you helped with many things at my property. It was a great pleasure for me to work together with you and achieve many things for the project.

Numesh is an absolutely fantastic host. The house is in excellent condition, and I didn't experience any kind of problem during my the home. He is incredibly kind, helpful, and always available whenever you need anything. One of the highlights of the experience is the evenings spent cooking together: the food is truly delicious and makes everything even more special. The garden is also large and beautiful, and it's an amazing feeling to eat food that is grown right there. I honestly couldn't recommend a better host!

My experience with Numesh's family was absolutely wonderful. I had the privilege of tasting tradizional Sri Lankan food, lovingly and skillfully preparate, and to sharing deep and inspiring conversations on topic close to my heart. Such a Buddism and Sri Lankan customs. The warmth, kindness and genuine connection I felt were truly exceptional it was as if I had always been part of their home. It was a real, living, and deeply humanistic experience, far beyond ordinare hospitality. I wholehertedly recommend it to anyone wishing to live this authentic and immersione experience. Enjoy it 🥰

A estadia com o Numesh foi uma experiência muito interessante do ponto de vista do envolvimento social e cultural! O projeto permitiu aprendermos muito sobre a comunidade local e ficar a conhecer os diferentes modos de vida da população. O trabalho é bastante acessível e os horários muito flexíveis, conseguímos visitar as praias, Galle e piscinas locais com bastante facilidade. Recomendamos a quem queria ter uma experiência real dos modos de vida no Sri Lanka! O Numesh foi sempre muito prestável e ajudou em tudo o que precisamos!
