The home was the most special experience! Upeshka, Anoj and their family are so welcoming and kind. It definitely felt more like a homestay than volunteering- but I really liked this! The food was amazing and we did some amazing day trips- it will always have a special place in my heart :)

With my friend Jaime we came across the small farm of Anoj and Upeksha a little by chance and we discovered a gem of nature. In the middle of tea plantations and mountainous landscapes. The calm of this place allowed me to take time for myself, to crochet again, to draw, to discover the neighbouring villages like Hatton or Nuwara Eliya, and to immerse myself in the local culture while being able to help from time to time. Every day we ended up with good dishes prepared with love for us, we are grateful for what this has brought us and for the warm welcome. Thanks for everything <3 Lisa

I had a great time at the home. The family was very welcoming and caring. We did some trips to nearby destinations which was awesome! Though, when I was there there was no work to do. But I enjoyed it😊

I had the best time thanks to Anoj, Upeksha and family. They were all so welcoming and made me feel part of the family from day one. If you want to experience local culture this was definitely the perfect place for it. I enjoyed visiting the temple and trying new foods. The nature was beautiful and I hope to come back some day 🥰 thank you guys

This place really rased the standars for all the worldpacker volunteers! I do not have words to describe how amazing this place, the people and the nature is!! We almost didn't work at all, we just chilled and enjoyed the peacefullness! Upeksha and Anoj took such good care of us, they are so incredible people, so welcoming, so attentive, i am missing them a lot while writing this 😭😭 i really wish i could go back at some point! If you come, make sure to prin some long pants and long sleeve, sometimes it gets colder at night 😊

Such a beautiful, calm and regenerating experience! Upeksha cared for us volunteers as her sisters. Upeksha and Anoj and his parents are all wonderful people, super easy to get along with. Their space is tranquil and absolutely gorgeous, the mountains and tea plantations surrounding their beautiful home. With some luck you can see some animals. You can learn a lot from these people as they are very knowledgeable and intelligent. I hope all volunteers coming here acknowledge your hospitality and care and respect you for it! I hope to be back one day to witness your achievements! All the love!

I had the most amazing time being hosted by Anoj, Upeksha, and Anoj's parents. The house is in the most gorgeous mountains filled with tea gardens, it's so stunning. The food they prepared was so delicious everyday, and they worked so hard to make me gluten free options also. It was a truly magical experience and I will forever cherish the sisterhood that Upeksha, the other volunteers and I shared. We felt a bit bad that we hardly did any work but they kept wanting us to relax and have a memorable experience. They would take us on excursions to see the local way of life too, which was so kind

Really loved our stay with the hosts. Felt like home during our whole stay. We got delicous meals everyday and really enjoyed staying near nature. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. We even made nice trips to the waterfalls and visiting the vegetable garden. In total, we had a very good time there and can really recommend staying there!

My first volunteer experience have been great thanks to the amazing hospitality of Anoj and Upeksha. They are very kind, attentive and willing to help. They opened the doors of their beautiful and cozy home, sharing their culture and way of local life.Toddyland is a perfect peaceful place surrounded by nature where you disconnect from the world and reconnect with yourself. Work is simple and enjoyable, we helped on the vegetable garden and planted banana trees. We also did hiking and visited Buddha temple for meditation. Highly recommend! Stuti 🫶🏻 from the bottom of my heart ♥️

Upeksha y Anoj fueron anfitriones extremadamente amables. Ellos cuidaron muy bien de nosotros; son una pareja encantadora llena de energía brillante.
