You should come to our place because we are in the middle of Europe and you will have a good time here for sure! We're like a family and have a lot of guests from all over the world.
We are a very familiar team and like to do a party together as well sometimes or going for a hike. We will treat you like a human, you will sleep at the staff apartment with other members of the crew.

I had a great time volunteering at 5elements hostel, the team is very welcoming and there are events in the week. Despite the zone can be challenging sometimes i felt at home as soon as i arrived since there is great communication and everyone is friendly. The hostel is packed with everything you need, great people, kitchen, laundry space, good rooms. There are stores closer to the hostel, locations to dance and of course the Haupfbanhof and the Flixbus station, so you can get to know other towns and cities. Im already missing the team and im so grateful that i got the opportunity to volunteer

I applied for this experience to help with parties at the hostel and entertain the guests but all I did was housekeeping. During the online interview they told me that I might have to help with HK sometimes, and I said okay if it was not the main activity. But it was completely different than I expected. The hostel is really big and even if there are a lot of workers/volunteers working at the same time, the activities are kinda heavy. It’s not a problem if they need people to work as cleaners, but they should be completely clear about it. Good part: other volunteers, staffs, breakfast/dinner.

Rafaela has been a great volunteer here: helpful, hard-working and easygoing. However, she left before the date we agreed on without informing us in advance.

I had to leave the Hostel with just a few days because I got a job offer and I warned in advance of one week in order to left them bring another person. About the place, the Hostel is amazing!
It's very well located in the center of Frankfurt. It has good installations, the Staff is amazing, they give an excellent break fast and also dinner. The tasks are pretty easy and there are other volunteers that make the time pass really fast. Life in Germany is very good too, with excelent transport, security and good quality of life. Be prepared to practice your English and learn the German Culture.

For a first experience, it could not be worst. The room was full of trash, dirty… Seems like nobody have done some cleaning for WEEKS! Also, the hostel is located in the fews streets of the city were junkies, sex&bed, trash bars are located. Really not safe let me tell you. I haven’t met the real hosts until my 3rd and last days there. They couldn’t care less about me being there. About the work itself, nothing fit the description or what we discuss about when I FaceTime the hostel… I went to talk to them and clearly understood that I’ll be doing only housekeeping. Don’t go there is my advice

It´s sad to see that Leana would rather just pack her bags and leave without informing anyone and not respond to any of our messages after we were worried about her and then leave a shocking review instead of communicating with us about what´s bothering her. Obviously, she was expecting something else, though we´re not sure what she was expecting because the living situation(being in a dorm with the other volunteers and yes, maybe living with many others in a dorm can get messy) as well as what the job entails was clearly mentioned in the interview. But I guess volunteering in a hostel and sharing a room with others is not her thing. Being shocked about the surroundings, I guess Leana didn´t look up where the hostel is located or did any sort of research about the hostel for that matter. Yes, we are located in the red light district, but it is just a small area and once you settle into the hostel, everyone always feels safe and realizes that the district looks worse than it actually is. But I guess Leana doesn´t like giving chances. And it´s kinda harsh of her to say that we do not care after we were actually there for her and tried to help her when she sprained her ankle and tried to reach out to her for such a long time because we were worried after she just up and left without informing anyone. But in the end we are happy that she left sooner than later, because we like having a reliable team and people we can trust. We do wish Leana all the best for her future, but maybe she should try to avoid volunteering in a hostel.
