Alvor Ar de Mar

We want to be travelers' home away from home. We are in a quiet street in the middle of a typical portuguese fishing village. Walking distance to the beach-2 min,same to bus stop, and to the restaurants and bars streets.

We are friendly people, and concerned about the welfare of our guests, and volunteers. Everything must be in orther. We work all , to please our guests and make them feel home. And the purpose is create a friendly atmosphere among staff and guests, as if we were all part of a group of friends

This place is great! I enjoyed my time here and had a very relaxing stay. The people here are lovely and makes you feel very welcome. I found the work easy and the working hours were great
I went in low season so there wasn't many guests or voulenteres, because of that I also ended up talking with Cristina about leaving a little early. She was very understanding and we agreed upon a departure date, so I ended up leaving after a week instead of two
I would recommend going in low season for a more relaxing time, but i could imagine there would be more to do in high season

It was my first time using World Packers and I loved it!! I volunteered in Portugal and it was a natural and beautiful place What a lovely place for FARO. People are kind and animals are cute, so it's healing.

My host was perfect. My host always has a good smile that makes me feel good in the morning. I was so happy while I was in Portugal. I don't think I'll forget it. I want to go to Portugal again🤗🤗🤗

Christina was so welcoming and lovely though our whole stay. The guest house is nice but there is not a functioning kitchen. However the breakfast each morning were still very good. Volunteering at the end of the season was a bit boring at times but the people who were there made it interesting and fun. The worst most days was fairly straight forward and often never took more the three hours. Plenty of free time to explore the surrounding area. Alvor and is absolutely beautiful place.

Alvor is a little paradise on earth. Cristina and Joaquim are welcoming and nice people. The accommodations were more than enough and we had access to everything listed on the app. Overall the volunteers are amazing people and we're glad to have made really good friends during our stay. Working hours are always respected and the work is not too hard but physical. You must have in mind to be flexible because you usually don't know what work you'll be doing until the day of.
Cristina is such a good host and we will have great memories of Alvor and how welcoming her and her family were to us.
