Alvor Ar de Mar

We want to be travelers' home away from home. We are in a quiet street in the middle of a typical portuguese fishing village. Walking distance to the beach-2 min,same to bus stop, and to the restaurants and bars streets.

We are friendly people, and concerned about the welfare of our guests, and volunteers. Everything must be in orther. We work all , to please our guests and make them feel home. And the purpose is create a friendly atmosphere among staff and guests, as if we were all part of a group of friends

The location of Alvor is perfect and there is enough to do in the area. My experience with Christina was great. She was nice and welcoming. We did have the advantage of staying in the house where you can cook and wash your clothes. I do think that it’s unfair to the volunteers who end up in the guesthouse. So we’re lucky that we got the best experience that was possible.
It would help a lot if the cleaning supplies would be upgraded to do the tasks well.
The other volunteers were very kind and fun to be around. They made this experience amazing for me. Thanks to them and Christina. :D

Samin and I stayed in Alvor for 2,5 weeks and I really enjoyed it. We were lucky to stay in the volunteer house and to start at 10 am every day. The work was easy, although I would definitely recommend Christina to buy some better cleaning equipment, like a new vacuum. The other volunteers that we met made this experience even better. Thank you!

Christina was lovely! Very enthusiastic with a lot of energy, she was like a mother figure! There are 2 accom, one with a kitchen and a pool which was really nice and the other at the guest house which wasn’t so equipped as there’s only a microwave there. Alvor is a small but nice town with really nice beaches around. I think two weeks was enough as it was getting abit repetitive and we’d already explored the surrounding areas. But I would definitely come back back for a relaxing holiday as the beaches weren’t overpacked like in portimao. All in all we had a great time. Thankyou Christina

It was my first visit to Portugal and I really liked the location. It is a very nice part with beautiful beaches. It is possible to come up with various activities in the area, such as kayaking, paddleboarding, some boat trips to the caves, etc.The work was well distributed, there were more of us volunteers, so I think that each volunteer knew what his job was and over time it went faster and faster. Maybe for the next season, I would definitely recommend modernizing the housing for volunteers more.But it's just my opinion. But I definitely recommend it to other volunteers, a great experience.

We had such a great time in alvor! Christina made us feel welcome and the work was totally fine aswell! The work is mostly cleaning and was around 3h a day but that depends which shift u get, there a longer ones aswell.
The house we lived in was well equipped and nice, even had a pool. The other option for the volunteers to stay in is not as good equipped tho, only has a microwave to cook in.
Alvor is a nice town, not too big so the beaches are not too crowded. There are some options to have drinks but no night clubs
All in all we had a really good time, thank you Christina for having us ?
