We have been getting helpers now for awhile, and our progress in getting back on our feet after Cyclone damage is going well.We usually have a wide range of tasks on our list to do as living in the nature naturally means there are always things to do.


Helpers usually stay from one week to three weeks depending on their travel plans, tasks on our list, skills and how you take to living in the Nature and the weather. Helpers have double or queen beds to sleep in. The Internet is available.

My time at Mike's was amazing and I learned a lot.
You shouldn't expect it to be easy work, it can be exhausting, but if you're ready to commit to it Mike will teach you a lot about Australian nature and wildlife but also about life in general.
All the work gets done in the morning and you have free time afterwards to explore the surroundings and go touristing in Airlie Beach.
The experience was definitely different from what I expected but very valuable on so many levels.
Thank you Mike for having me and making the past two weeks very interesting and educational.

Had a great time!! tasks included sawing trees, moving them, raking and re discovering parts of his land. The hours were sweaty and sometimes challenging but seeing the before and after made it all worth it. He’s more than happy to give you a lift to the bus, if we were to do it again i wouldn’t have stayed in Airlie prior and would’ve used my day off for a long day trip and done smaller ones after the morning work. A week was perfect for us!

My time at cedar views was amazing. I really enjoyed my stay here and would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a positive, educational and chill environment in nature. Mike is more than happy to drop you off to the bus stop and give you as many ‘tourist days’ as you’d like. You have plenty of time to explore! Although the work can make you sweat, it’s out the way by mid morning and so rewarding to see the outcome. Mike ensures your comfort and happiness throughout the stay and I couldn’t have felt more welcomed. Thankyou for making my time at your home an enjoyable experience.

I enjoyed my stay at Cedar Views. Hours are just as agreed to and finished in the morning giving you a lot of free time to explore the area. Mike drops you of and pick you up from the bus station every day after work. So you can go to Airlie Beach.

Mike is a real character, smart, funny, structured and understanding! Work was always straightforward and he taught about useful handy and gardening skills! There were different tasks everyday that it never got boring. We worked in the morning, so there was a lot of spare time left and Mike doesn't hesitate to take you to the bus stop every day. Visiting Airlie Beach is really worth it and there are also little hikes around with great views on the islands. I can recommend this experience for everyone who is interested in recycling, nature and sustainability. Thank you Mike for this experience☺
