We already have the highest rated hostel in Edinburgh under our belt, now we're growing!
Housed in a converted courthouse and jail, our new pod hostel, right on the Royal Mile in the heart of the Old Town, is now open and we need your help to welcome our guests and keep it sparkling clean.
As all our beds are brand new and rooms newly refurbished, cleaning is a doddle.
We'll give you a cosy Pod in a shared room, as well as breakfast- We serve freshly made waffles every day!
We have a friendly full time staff of 10 and usually around 4-8 volunteers staying with us at a time, so there's always somebody to hang out with!

La ciudad es preciosa y el hostel está muy bien ubicado ya que está justo en el centro. Los horarios se respetan, sin embargo por lo general no tienes los mismos días de descanso y a veces no los pueden poner juntos, pero es un detalle menor. El horario es extenso si estás por la noche, pero si no tienes problema con eso todo bien.

The code It is a great place to work, the team is fantastic, respectful, understanding and flexible, I’m leaving a little sad because as I only took night shifts (a request that they respected) I was always tired ☺️ so I wasn’t able to share much with the most of the staff However, this allowed me to continue with my classes during the day and enjoy the city during the festival! The accommodation was great. Thank you very much for this amazing opportunity! 💯 recommended

I had a great time at CoDE, the managers Jay and Ilenia are nothing but kind, caring and understanding. I always knew what I was doing and they were the type of managers to jump in and also do what we were doing right next to us even as busy as they were. There are a variety of different shift times and activities to be done which allowed you to meet even more people and learn new skills. I would love to come back one day, thank you for having me :)

My CODE experience was sensational, immersive, and uniquely intense. I extend my heartfelt thanks to the incredible people I met. Their care for volunteers, respect for agreements, and flexibility were exceptional. Connecting with individuals from around the world was enriching. Edinburgh's magical, historic charm served as the perfect backdrop. I wholeheartedly recommend CODE for its diversity and volunteer appreciation. In the Scotland's occasional rain, it was an unforgettable experience. Thank you, CODE, for the memories!
