Cool Bananas Backpackers 1770

Whether you are looking to party or relax while your here you will be able to find plenty of like-minded people. We are about a 5–10-minute walk to the beach, shops, petrol station and local pub. We have staff dinners sometimes where we feed our team and host social events like beach parties, or live music at the hostel.

This hostel is run by my family and our WFA staff, so we are quite homey. We do not tolerate hate or disrespect so we expect people to treat others how they would like to be treated themselves. If guests or other workers happen to cause dramas or make others uncomfortable, they will be asked to leave, this helps keep staff and guests safe and happy.

This was my first Worldpackers experience and I absolutely loved my stay! The tasks were straight forward and as long as you stick to the list provided, you should be good to go;) I got to meet a ton of amazing people and felt home away from home in the lovely town of Agnes. Scott’s a very generous host and I never had any problems. Would definitely recommend this experience to anyone who’s looking to meet people and have a good time, while taking a break from travel. Can’t wait to be back!:))

This place is a super fun hostel to work at. Over my month there I had a super good time, staff was super cool and I made some pretty good friends, and the host Scott is a super cool guy who dose a lot for the staff like cooking dinner and “team meetings” (you’ll see what they are if you go). Over all super cool place, just follow the task list carefully and don’t slack off and you’ll have a good time here.

I had a lot of fun volunteering here and the other staff was super awesome and I made so many friends. Everyone would do about two hours a day of work, then you would have the rest of the day to go to the beach or do whatever you’d like. I was put on reception so I would work for a bit more hours then everyone else but I would get some days off. Just follow along step by step on the list he gives you and feel free to ask questions because Scott would rather you doing your job properly than butchering it. This was an over all great experience and would recommend!😊

Cool Bananas was my first Worldpackers experience and I loved it! All the staff were super welcoming, friendly, and helpful and Scott was a great host. The tasks each day were very simple and straightforward as long as you followed the lists of what to do. Scott also cooked meals at least once a week for us and they were fantastic! Agnes was a small town but was a great place to chill for a bit. Would recommend Cool Bananas to anyone!!

My stay at Cool Bananas as a volunteer was really nice. The tasks are easy for the accommodation and not repetitive, you always do different things. Scott is a lovely and generous host who takes good care of everyone and also cooks delicious meals for the volunteers. Really recommend Agnes and Cool Bananas for backpackers but especially volunteers!
