I was in La Chimba for a month and I didn’t have one bad experience! There’s always something going on, I was constantly meeting amazing guests and I got really close with other volunteers as well as the staff who is working there. Everyone’s so welcoming and always trying to help.
The area is filled with clubs/bars/karaoke places, and I had amazing time. It’s also a good place to practice English or Spanish.
The work is not tiring at all and doesn’t take a lot of your time, so you will have enough time to explore the city and even go on 1/2-day excursions to the mountains or beach.

I really enjoyed my time in La chimba! I met so many nice people, and there was always something fun to do.
The tasks were mostly very chill and you have a lot of free time which is great!

Foi uma experiência simplesmente maravilhosa, cronograma de tarefas muito bem organizado e com os horários bem definido, as tarefas foram com a função combinada e tranquilo. Todas as pessoas do La Chimba foram incríveis, alto astral e muito animadas. Conheci pessoas de vários lugares do mundo. Santiago é uma cidade com muitas coisas para conhecer e a região do hostel é bem animada. Participei de algumas atividades/eventos que o anfitrião/hostel disponibilizou e todas que fui foram sensacionais. Foi tudo muito incrível: o local, as pessoas, a cidade. Só tenho a agradecer pela experiência!

Amé hace el intercambio (voluntariado) el la chimba, pero ame mas al equipo de voluntarios, aprendí mucho en mi estadía y el hostal estaba muy bien ubicado. Quedo muy agradecida con todo lo vivido, espero volver en algún momento.
