El hostal se maneja como una gran familia. Queremos que nuestros voluntarios tengan una verdadera experiencia local y que hagan tareas significativas y enriquecedoras, que aprendan del negocio y, si se animan, que aprendan a bailar salsa.
Con nosotros lo mas importante es divertirse.
Somos Jose, colombiano, y Martina, alemana. Después de tener que vender nuestro antiguo hostel por la pandemia, decidimos empezar un nuevo proyecto, mejorado, y para eso necesitamos la ayuda de nuestros voluntarios. Desde el momento en que lleguen notaran la atmósfera familiar del lugar y el respeto por su viaje. Siempre tendremos en cuenta que antes que voluntarios, son viajeros y por eso las responsabilidades serán acordes a esto. Lo mas importante es que se diviertan mientras nos ayudan.

Pase un tiempo increíble en la palmera! Al principio tuve mis errores al no entender bien mis responsabilidades en recepción después cambio todo al pasar al bar. Jose y el personal son muy amables aunque poco comunicativos y se relacionaron poco conmigo, aunque los huéspedes y los demás voluntarios hicieron la experiencia única! Salsa, fiesta y amigos es solo una pequeña parte de lo que viví en este lugar.

I have had one of the best months of my trip here. Cali is amazing, the hostel is amazing & I will remember my time here for a looooong time!

It was the best volunteering ever! I mean.. everything is perfect, clear and organized ! The staff couldn’t be nicer and flexible and it takes 1 minute to feel part of the family ♥️
José (the owner) is super friendly and funny. Annita (the manager) is so kind and always ask the preference of the days and schedules you’d like to work.
The tasks are clear and reception is super easy to manage.
Everyone is super helpful.
It is good vibes only.
Also I never seen such a comfortable and clean hostel with so many chill areas.
Hope to come back, at least to visit ♥️ Thank you 🙏🏼

What can I say?
Spending time with you has been one of the best experiences in my life. I could have not asked for a better place to spend my time in Cali. Everything was perfect.
The volunteering was exactly what I expected, the job was easy and the hours were perfect.

I had an amazing time in La Palmera. The hostel is really one big family. Not only among the volunteers but also guests that come tend to stay longer than they planned. There’s enough free time to explore the city and most of all learn some salsa! 100% recommend this hostel and love all the legends I met there!
