We have an amazing hostel in Faro and want you to be part of our team. We need enthusiastic and social people to help us. This is a great opportunity to spend some time in the sunny Algarve region and to meet people from different cultures while helping us to run a friendly and fun hostel. So, hard-working, enthusiastic and creative people: you can stop looking for another host, pack your stuff and come to Faro!
We offer great conditions for volunteers to work and also to enjoy their time with us. The working hours are fair and in exchange we offer of course accomodation, free food, discounts on drinks not only in our hostel and plenty of other opportunities and activities

I’m so grateful for my time at Le penguin!! This was my first volunteering experience and I felt comfortable and at home very quickly. It was a super friendly and social setting, the guests were always happy to be there too which I loved. The work was also pretty easy, with reasonable hours and good days off. Helena also always made an effort to make us feel listened to if we needed anything at all. I would recommend this to everyone! 10/10 thank you for the memories 🫶🏼

My first volunteering experience and it was a blast. I celebrated my birthday while at the hostel and the staff/volunteers made it one to remember :,) The energy of the hostel is very comforting and easy going, a great opportunity to meet people from around the world. The shifts were straightforward and everyone is always willing to help out. Exploring the Algarve was a beautiful experience as well. I will miss everyone so much, a month really flys by here. Thank you again to the Penguin family, i’ll be back to visit xxxx

From the first day, volunteering at le penguin felt like joining a family. The atmosphere is very relaxed, laid back, and welcoming. The tasks are fair and all very different so you don't get bored! The staff are stunning people, Catriel always plays guitar for sing-alongs, Bia will always help you cook, and Helena is the coolest manager to work for! (especially if you like dancing lol)
Definitely would recommend!

I had an amazing time at Le Penguin. The ambiance is super welcoming and relaxed. The manager Helena is really funny and she runs the place so well. The other workers are all volunteers so you’re always working with your friends. In a short time you’ll get very close to everybody.

I really loved my stay in Le Penguin! It was my very first volunteering experience and I couldn't have chosen a better place for that. Our volunteers group was the best one could ever wish for and Helena (the manager) did everything in her power to make us feel home. I will deeply miss the chill vibe of the hostel and the people I had an opportunity to work together with. The tasks are easily understandable and work hours are always respected. All the volunteers work as a team and people are easily willing to cover for each other if needed. Until the next time, Le Penguin!
