We are located 8km from Makale village and surrounded by lush nature and beautiful mountains.
Here you can learn all about organic farming, and also how to harvest and process both coffee and chocolate.
We also grow ginger, turmeric, galanga, avocado, pineapple, chillies, tomatoes, dragonfruit and many other fruits and vegetables...
The local children from the surrounding villages come 3 times a week to our English and Nature school.
Even if you do not have experience in teaching, just participating and spending time with the kids will motivate and encourage their learning.
Our Eco Farm and English Nature school has so much to offer. But we also enjoy learning from our volunteers, and are always open to new ideas.
Our farm is a family run business, and consists of me Natsir, my wife Diana, my daughters Irma and Adiba, and my three sons Alwi, Ichsan and Winner. We always try to make the volunteers feel as welcome as possible, and hopefully they will feel like part of our family. Its a relaxed and happy environment.

Go to Natsir school, is something that every person need to do. This experience is amazing, you are immerse in the middle of the nature, connecting with you and the local culture. The project is really organised and you can have all the freedom that you want. The kids in the English class are really kind and participating. You will learn helping to Natsir in the garden and enjoy their nature. The best thing about this volunteering is the people. All the family there is so welcoming and friendly. The food of Daiana and Irma is fantastic and the little Adiba is really funny. I recommend 100%

Our experience in Natsir Eco School was amazing. You can feel the peace from the first minute you arrive. The place is surrounded by powerful nature. The family is lovely, cooking for you with so much love. The accomodation is just perfect. Natsir invites you to the garden and is always willing to have a chat about his project, teach you about the garden and sharing knowledge and delicious fruits from the garden. The children in the school are beautiful, they want to learn and participate in all the class. It is a totally unique experience that I recommend to every traveler to do.

This was my first volunteering experience- I stayed at Natsirs for three weeks and it was absolutely amazing experience. I learned so many new things there, both about the garden and its plants, but also about the traditions and culture of the area. The work there didn´t really felt like a work, the kids at the school were so sweet and eager to learn, so I was really looking forward to each lesson. Natsir and his whole family are truly the kindest people, they really made me feel like part of the family, I really miss you! I definitely recommend this to everyone!

We spent 2 weeks at Natsir’s and found the experience to be really rewarding. We really felt like we were immersed into the local way of living, and teaching the local children English was the highlight of our experience. Natsir is a extremely selfless individual who you are able to learn a lot from. We would recommend this to anyone seeking a rural way of living and teaching!

What an amazing experience I had at Natsir’s eco project. Wauw. This was my first volunteering experience ever and it was a good one. First of all the family was so kind and sweet. They welcome everyone with open arms in their house. I really felt part of their family. I learned a lot of the proces of coffee roasting and chocolate making. Natsir is very passionate about nature and his beautiful farm. He taught me a lot about the benefits of several plants that grow on his farm. Also the kids who come to the school to practice their English were amazing, so motivated. I had a lot of fun!
