we are a young couple with a beautiful baby girl who open this hostel a few years ago, we care deeply for it and we treat it like it's our home. we have a small staff which taking care for the hostel cleaning and a few receptionists, the mainly help we need around here from volunteers is helping in reception, attending guests and answering for questions from time to time and other project that we might have around the time you'll visit us. we like to do everything around here by ourselves in a Pura Vida way.

The environment and people of the hostel are super social and cozy. Of course, you will probably have to sleep in a tent, because the volunteers dormitory is usually full, but that was no problem for me.

Work at the Finca is definitely hard and physical work, but first of all it is only two days a week and secondly Tom, the owner always allows you to take care of yourself, so if you need a break, you can take a break.

All in all, it was a wonderful and informative experience. In the few weeks, I met some of the kindest people ever.

The experience was amazing! I stayed for four weeks with a friend, and we met so many nice people. Candela, the manger, is such a nice and helpful person, and really makes you feel comfortable in the work space. Puerto Viejo is also really nice and the hostel is located perfectly between the town and the Playa Cocles. The hostel is quite small, so it’s possible that there are not many guests, but it’s still nice to just chill around. The work is also really easy and the working hours are also really flexible. It was a great experience!!

I was at the Oasis beachfront Hostel for 3-4 weeks with a friend of mine.
We had such a good time and felt sooo comfortable there. The work was really easy and fair!
Candela the manager is super nice and sweet and there for everything we needed!
I also liked the location because it was very near the center and only a 15 minute walk to the big Cocles beach!
I highly recommend going there to have a great time!

Estar en Oasis ha sido como estar sumergida en una burbuja de naturaleza, alejado del bullicio, pero a la vez con una ubicación increíble en el centro del pueblo. A los pocos días ya lo sentí un hogar. Gracias a Candela que lo hace todo fácil para que te adaptes bien al lugar y siempre está dispuesta a mejorarlo. Conecté mucho con el sitio, los otros voluntarios y huespedes.
Gracias por esta experiencia.

Cande y Eddi son unos genios, te hacen sentir en tu casa, los horarios se cumplen y las tareas son sencillas, pasamos buenas noches de fogatas y diversión. Una experiencia inmejorable
