Ringo's Foyer is the friendliest guesthouse in Melaka. It's a relaxed and easy going place perfect for backpackers. We offer budget accommodation in the heart of the city of Melaka. Due to our great location, you are just a few minutes walk from Jonker Street, China Town, Little India and most of Melaka's popular spots. There is no shortage of things to do and see - discover the bustling west end of the city with its local stalls and markets, check out the museums, art galleries, local shops and much more. Or if you prefer, you can chill out on our rooftop, or choose to watch a movie from our endless list! Work here is very laid back. There's never lots to do so you get plenty of time to talk to other travellers, explore the city or work in your own projects. Melaka is fairly cheap and, like Penang, we have great food. You will have free access to our bicycles, free breakfast, free tea and coffee and your own room!
You will always be treated as a friend. The atmosphere is very relaxed, so you will never feel stressed. Work is easy and we are all very easy going.

Howard is super kind and welcoming! The work is super simple and easy, we volunteers figured out our own schedule which was nice. Howard is really flexible so I’ve been able to volunteer longer than originally planned and plan to volunteer here again :)

Ive met great people, fantastic volunteer team, the owner besides being friendly ans kind hes also a supportive partner. Easy tasks, volunteers can use bikes and theres plenty of time to explore the town

I had the best time at Ringo’s foyer and I can’t thank Howard enough.
It was my first time in a role like this one and wasn’t sure what to expect but it was so fun. I learnt new things and got to meet so many people, making long lasting friendships with some of the other volunteers.
The work hours were delegated fairly among us and we all worked as a team to ensure the hostel was a great place to stay.
Malacca is a beautiful place to visit with lots to do as well such as a public pool, churches to visit, cinemas and a fantastic night market.

My experience at Ringo’s was great. The hostel has very nice atmosphere and is run mostly by volunteers and it’s a good opportunity to connect with other volunteers and guests. The work is not hard and there’s activities for volunteers and guests such as cycling and breakfasts together. During my free time I explored the city’s historic sites and tried a lot of delicious food. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

My experience at Ringo's Foyer was incredible! Howard runs a great hostel that has a great community that is very social. The workers and guests were very kind and fun. The location of the hostel was perfect and there was always something to do! The work consisted of cleaning and reception work, but it was not difficult. I definitely recommend volunteering here!
