Skeppsudden
Skeppsudden is a place to slow down, reconnect with nature, and live more simply for a while. It's still evolving, and we like building it together with the people who show up here. So you're not just visiting, you're part of shaping it.
Life here is grounded and hands-on. Depending on the season, you might help with cleaning, organizing, gardening, or general upkeep. We aim for a real balance between work and rest, and things run best with people who are proactive but easygoing.
The energy shifts with the seasons. In summer, we host a number of retreats, which brings a more dynamic, social rhythm to the place. More people, more activity, more shared momentum. Volunteers even get the chance to join some retreats free of cost.
We welcome people from all backgrounds and beliefs. The atmosphere is open, respectful, and non-dogmatic: rooted in shared experience rather than fixed ideas.
This is a great fit if you're comfortable with both quiet stretches and busier, more social periods, and if you like being part of a small, evolving project rather than a fixed, polished operation.
I've been volunteering at Skeppsudden for a month and can genuinely recommend it.
There's Chris, who takes care of admin and meetings. Roderick is the construction guy. The rest of the team fill in where help is needed, giving you variation in your day.
The team values community, work / play balance, and clear communication. There's always someone around if you need support or just want to talk.
All dietary requirements are respected, and we do our best to accommodate them.
You can expect to be treated with respect, clarity, and appreciation, in an atmosphere where everyone's well-being genuinely matters.
