Volunteering at the hostel brought me closer to the Japanese Culture. This is a place that is carefully taken care of so that it feels welcoming to the guests, whether locals or international. The guesthouse happens to be in the perfect area if you need to rest from the noisy city. I really appreciated that they offered sport equipment and the choice of using the bike to go around. Kyoko is a very nice host who trusts her volunteers to do everything around the hostel in the perfect way and is always ready to help if needed.

I had a great experience ! I actually ended up not volunteering at the hostel but at a different hostel nearby Okayama, work was super easy and flexible, just assisted with check-in and checkout, helped guests with whatever they needed and collected and folded laundry at the end of the day. The host was friendly and made sure to explain all the tasks and always verified if everything is going well. The accommodation didn't have Ac while the weather was extremely hot but it was a private room so it wasn't that bad. Overall it was nice to volunteer here, I highly recommend it.
