My stay with Teresa and Pierre was the best way to begin my working holiday here in Aotearoa/New Zealand. the farm and the nearby the farm of Islands region is stunning with an unending amount of beaches and beautiful forest and farm land. The work was diverse ranging from caring for chickens to planting a wide range of fruits and veggies and harvesting them, general maintenance and yard work, tree planting and removing invasive plants and a great opportunity to meet a local family and learn more about the Māori and settler background of the region and the rich history of the Northland area!

I couldn't have asked for a better stay, truly. P & T really take the time to make sure that you are comfortable and fulfilled, which makes you feel like part of the family. Tasks/jobs were all simple, self-explanatory, and if I did need help, it was always given. Accommodation was great, food was delicious, and I was always included in any family activities that were happening. I couldn't be more grateful for this experience. Thank you, hope to cross paths again!

Teresa,Pierre and the family were incredibly welcoming and generous. The experience was just as advertised and the work was rewarding. They also offered great insight about the surrounding areas by suggesting hikes and places to visit.

It was a truly magical experience staying with this beautiful family! The location is other-worldly gorgeous, and the hosts themselves are a bundle of creative joy. The work I was doing was meaningful and very enjoyable. I got to connect with nature and animals everyday. It felt effortless to become part of their family and their day-to-day, and I also felt a great deal of respect for when I needed alone time. A wonderful, trusting, balanced, loving atmosphere. I hope I get to see them again <3

I had an amazing time in the farm. Teresa and Pierre are such kind and welcoming people, and their home is in a stunning location. I learned a ton about gardening, living off the land, and the culture of New Zealand. Would definitely recommend!

Teresa and Pierre were so welcoming and such a joy to work for. I learnt a lot about sustainable living practices and how to minimize your environmental impact. I enjoyed chatting with them over a morning coffee (Maria too!) and swapping stories about life in NZ vs Canada. Would 100% recommend doing a stay with them!!

I had the most beautiful, healing, inspiring time with Teresa and Pierre's family. I didn't know what to expect as this is my first solo trip through WP and I got so lucky having this as my first experience. As soon as I arrived on the farm T n P made me feel super comfortable and safe to be myself around. The food was amazing, the pets were lovely and I got security of my own room. I learnt so much in such a small time (2wks) mainly about how to care for agriculture and land. And my favourite was learning and understanding Māori culture and connecting with my roots. Overall unforgettable

I had the best time staying at Teresas and Pierres Farm! It was exactly what I needed to start my travels in NZ. The whole family is really welcoming, showed me around the area or gave me tips on what to do in my free time and gave me tips for my further travel plans too. the farm is a truly stunning place and I can only recommend coming here!:) I learned a lot about gardening, native plants and trees and the maori culture.

Teresa and her family are the best hosts you can imagine. They're very welcoming, friendly and open-minded. I learned a lot about gardening but also about Māori. I really appreciate to learn so much about Māori culture and history. Had the best conversations with Maria. The animals on the farm are the cutest. Will definitely miss the ladies and Zain. Mautari the farm is really beautiful. I enjoyed the swims and the beautiful unique nature. A big plus: Teresa is an amazing cook! I'm vegetarian and she took care of me 😊. Overall I'm very thankful for that experience. Wish the family all the best!
