As a volunteer, you’ll spend your time supporting children and young people through teaching, sports, and language activities. Your schedule may include helping with English or language practice, educational games, football and other sports, and creative activities.
You’ll work alongside our local team, adapting activities to the children’s age and needs. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own ideas and skills while creating a fun, safe, and supportive environment.
The program is flexible, so you can contribute according to your interests and abilities while experiencing local Tanzanian life and cultural exchange.
- Respect children, staff, other volunteers, and the local community.
- Be responsible, punctual, and committed to your agreed activities.
- Follow the guidance and instructions of the local team.
- Create a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for children.
- Ask permission before taking or sharing photos of children.
- Dress appropriately and respectfully during activities.
- No smoking, alcohol, or inappropriate behaviour during program activities.
- Be open-minded and respectful of Tanzanian culture and local customs.
- Volunteers should never use physical punishment or inappropriate language with children.
