We are looking for volunteers who are responsible, proactive, friendly, and comfortable working as part of a team.
The main focus of this position is breakfast and kitchen support, although flexibility is important. Depending on the hotel’s occupancy and daily needs, you may occasionally help with housekeeping, reception or other general hotel tasks.
In return, you can expect a friendly local team, a respectful working environment, clear schedules and responsibilities, and plenty of time to enjoy Costa Rica during your days off.
We value good communication, a positive attitude, teamwork, and mutual respect. Our goal is for you to feel like part of the team while enjoying an authentic experience in Manuel Antonio.
Volunteers help 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, with 2 days off.
Your main activities include:
• Preparing and setting up the breakfast area.
• Helping prepare and serve breakfast to guests.
• Assisting guests with questions or requests.
• Clearing tables and washing dishes.
• Cleaning and organizing the kitchen and breakfast area.
• Helping with basic food preparation.
• Supporting housekeeping or other hotel tasks when needed.
Shifts are generally scheduled in the morning. Exact starting and finishing times depend on the hotel’s occupancy and operational needs.
Your schedule will be provided in advance, and we will try to keep your days off consistent whenever possible.
• Be punctual and respect your scheduled shifts.
• Treat guests, volunteers, and local staff with kindness and respect.
• Keep the kitchen, accommodation, and shared areas clean and organized.
• Follow hygiene and food-safety standards when helping with breakfast.
• Wear clean and appropriate clothing while working. Bikinis, shirtless clothing, or inappropriate attire are not allowed in guest areas.
• No smoking or vaping inside the property. Smoking is only allowed in the designated area.
• Respect quiet hours. This is a peaceful property, not a party hostel.
• Take care of the property, equipment, and facilities.
• Be willing to help with other reasonable hotel tasks when needed.
• Most importantly, bring a positive attitude and enjoy the experience! 😊
