Help us Turn Empty Classrooms Into a Place of Hope
A experiência
Once, these classrooms were filled with children, learning and dreams. Today, they are waiting for a new chapter. 🏫🌱
We’re working to revive Mt Olives School in Sibanga, Kitale, Kenya and transform it into a space where young people, women and the wider community can learn, grow, connect and find new opportunities.
And we’re opening our doors to volunteers from Kenya and the global community. 🌍❤️

Detalhes
Mt Olives Community Empowerment Centre is a community-led initiative based in Sibanga, Trans Nzoia County, Kenya, established to create opportunities for young people, women and other underserved members of the community to develop skills, access opportunities and participate meaningfully in their communities. The initiative is rooted in a community space that was previously used as Mt Olives School. The school served the local community for many years before becoming inactive. Today, the existing facilities provide an opportunity to transform an underutilised space into a vibrant centre for learning, skills development, community engagement and empowerment. Sibanga is located in a predominantly rural setting, where many young people and women face limited access to employment opportunities, practical skills training, digital resources, mentorship and avenues for developing sustainable livelihoods. Mt Olives Community Empowerment Centre seeks to respond to these challenges by creating a welcoming community space where people can learn, create, connect and develop their potential.
