While staying in our hostel dormitory, we ask that you show guests around the facilities and explain how to use the amenities and common spaces. If guests need assistance, please listen to their needs and offer your help, supporting them so they can enjoy a comfortable and worry-free stay.

Join us at Hostel Utsuke in Takayama, Japan! Stay in our shared dormitory and help guests feel welcome and comfortable. You'll explain how to use the hostel facilities, answer questions, and offer a helping hand when guests need assistance.
You'll have opportunities to meet travelers from around the world and gain hands-on experience in hospitality. Lunch is provided free of charge at the restaurant downstairs.
You'll help for approximately 3 hours per day. Your main activities include welcoming guests, showing them around the hostel, explaining how to use the facilities and shared spaces, and assisting with questions or problems.
Exact shift times and days off will be discussed and agreed upon before your stay. If a situation is beyond what you can handle, please contact our staff for support.
Please be friendly and respectful to all guests and staff, arrive on time for your agreed shifts, and follow the hostel's house rules.
Keep shared spaces tidy and respect other guests' privacy and rest. If you are unsure about anything or a guest needs help you cannot provide, please contact our staff promptly.
