This position is for anyone who loves preping food.

You will help us buying fresh fruits and veggies every day, keeping the kitchen clean, helping make breakfast and lunch for our weary &/or hungover travelers and staff, & making sure we have coffee available in the morning.

As part of the team, you may be asked to help around with other tasks. You may also take other shifts to switch things up a bit.

Our volunteer program is currently 28 hours a week in exchange for accommodation, unlimited basic food (rice, pasta, beans, lentils, oats, and pancake flour), fresh fruit, and discounts at our bar.

For the cooking position, we ask 32 hours a week (4x 8 hours) in exchange for the above, and lunch every day. You'll be preparing breakfast orders for our guests, lunch for our cleaning staff, and one of the basic foods for the volunteers.

Shifts are assigned and published every Sunday for the next week. In order to maintain good communication, we have a mandatory staff meeting every Monday to discuss any changes and anything the team has excelled at or might have to work on.

This a volunteer position, but extra income can be made from tips and extra shifts when available.

Regras

We are NOT a drug-friendly Hostel. Getting shitfaced is A-Ok, but on the legal stuff only. Anyone found with drugs will be asked to leave immediately.

Upon arrival, for security reasons, you will be expected to leave a deposit of either a valid passport or a valid ID and 100 USD (or 2000 pesos). Either of these will be returned to you upon your departure. Our team always feels at home here, so it’s important to everyone that we maintain a safe working and living environment by knowing exactly who is staying with us at all times and discouraging the possibility of anyone making a quick exit with something that isn’t theirs.
