The hostel is truly beautiful, with a the hostel-themed design and thoughtful details everywhere. Located in a very local area of Kowloon, you'll probably be among the only tourists around, which gives you a great insight into authentic Hong Kong life. It's also very well connected by public transport. The staff is lovely and welcoming, always happy to share recommendations. I also enjoyed doing activities together and connecting with locals. The work schedule was very convenient for exploring during the day.

Being a bit distant from the central nightlife, this outlying hostel trades a party vibe for an authentic, local neighbourhood feel. The reception night shift is typically from 11pm to 1am, but it can extend up to 3am in case of very late check-ins. After that you will keep the emergency phone with you until 8am. You will share a dorm with long-term residents, which might not be ideal sometimes. I appreciated the dedication that the staff members put into sharing their culture with us volunteers. Hong Kong itself did not particularly touch my heart, but some local stories and traditions did.

I had an amazing experience volunteering at the hostel. The task are really easy, doing check-ins for travellers, and helping them when they arrive after 11pm. The hours are good, not long shifts. the hostel is located in a local area, and the staff is really helpful with everything, teaching you the tasks, and giving some recommendations of what to do around the area. The common area gets a bit busy at night with travellers so you have time to talk with others and share experiences. I felt like at home there. Thank you so much to all the staff for everything! I really enjoyed! 😊

I absolutely loved my stay! It's incredibly rewarding to know that I made genuine friends, learned so much, and hopefully passed on some meaningful knowledge while there. I highly recommend the hostel and am so grateful for the experience!

I had an amazing time at the hostel and a truly unforgettable experience. Iris, Nicole, Yuki, and John were fantastic hosts with wonderful personalities who made everyone feel welcome from the very beginning :) This was my first Worldpackers experience, and they have definitely set the bar very high! I met incredible people, made great memories, and had such a positive experience overall. I also completely fell in love with Hong Kong. There is so much to see and do that I would strongly recommend starting your sightseeing from your very first day. Don't leave everything until the last minute!

The hostel was a really great experience. I can recommend this volunteering position to anyone that is interested in getting to know Hong Kong not just on the surface level. The team was really great and friendly and always helped with recommendations. Nicole was kind and we spend a day together. We also went out with the team for food once. I love Hong Kong. Thank you for letting me stay at your hostel. I really appreciate it. :)

Staying at the hostel was a lovely experience. Tasks are simple, your shifts are usually no more than two or three hours at night si you have the whole day to explore the city, and they clearly explain your responsibilities. The sleeping area is quite spacious, more so than in other hostels. The best part is the staff; they are all incredibly friendly and make you feel right at home. They have a fantastic attitude, are always ready to help with anything you need, and have the best tips for places to visit in the city. I highly recommend staying here. I hope to see the team again soon. 🫶🏼

Overall, I had a good volunteering experience at the hostel. The staff is friendly, relaxed, and helpful when needed. The tasks are simple: they may seem like a lot at first, but after a short time everything becomes clear and manageable. Having five night shifts per week has both pros and cons. You have plenty of time during the day to explore the city, but fewer chances to experience Hong Kong at night, except on the two days off. As my first volunteering experience, I'm satisfied. I met people from all over the world and had the chance to explore most areas of HK.

The hostel is a nice place, in a neighborhood full of history. You can learn about its interesting past talking to the host and following some good recommendations about places nearby. Same for Hong Kong in general. Iris is also a kind and mindful person that lives the experience with purpose and is always willing to talk not only about this matter, but about whatever comes up. Transportation in the city is very efficient, so, that combo makes it perfect for you to choose properly what you're most interested, explore and make the most of your time in here. I recommend it. 🤗
