Just sitting here and staring at the Casa del Ritmo's picture is enough to move me. The people that run this place it are awesomeness, and the hostel itself is pure magic. The people I met here will never be forgotten, the goals accomplished and the lessons learned will always be with me. Johann was THE best boss I've had in all of my volunteering experiences! Always full of patience and a true friend. If you're thinking about coming to the caribbean, this is THE place. Seriously, look no further, apply at once!!
Much love to everyone here!
I planned to stay in casa del ritmo for one month, in May, i stayed 4 days. I've been volunteering so I expected more.
I started there, had my first week as an introduction. I didn't have my schedules or days assigned. Once, I decided go to the beach and I got bitten for a jellyfish and went to the doctor. I decided lay in the sofa and then bed just for 20 minutes. Then the owners or host, started screaming around, saying "you're not working, we can lose guests because of you, we don't like your bad energy, you should go now" they didn't asked what happend. They don't know how to treat us.
I'm not used to talk about anyone if there's no positive things to say, but this is an exception. In four years of experience with volunteers from all over the world, this is the first time we met such a lazy person and reading her review about Casa make us (the entire team) feel a little bit sad because these kind of things she wrote never happened... But the show must go on !!!
