Fazenda Cósmica is a creative countryside space where hospitality, food and community life come together.
In this position, you’ll be part of Cósmica Cozinha, working closely with Ana and the team in a dynamic and collaborative kitchen environment. It’s a great fit for people who enjoy food, cooking, and being part of the energy behind shared meals and events.
Life here is not just about the kitchen — it’s about living together. You’ll share space with other volunteers, our family and team, and be part of a constantly changing environment, with quiet days and more intense moments during events.
We expect volunteers to be responsible, present, open-minded and willing to help with practical tasks. In return, you can expect a meaningful exchange, a beautiful natural setting, and the experience of living and creating together.
Volunteers work 4 hours per day, 5 days a week.
Shifts are usually:
- Morning: 9:00 – 13:00
- Afternoon: 14:00 – 18:00
During events, there may be evening shifts (19:00 – 23:00), with time compensated later.
Main activities include:
- kitchen prep (mise en place)
- simple cooking tasks
- cleaning and organizing kitchen spaces
- dishwashing and support during service
- helping at the bar or with food service during events
Sometimes, you may also help with general hospitality tasks when needed.
- Be respectful, collaborative and open to living in community
- Be punctual and committed to your agreed working hours
- Keep the volunteer house clean and organized (this is not part of working hours)
- Wash and store your dishes after use
- Keep noise low after 10 PM
- No discrimination, harassment or aggressive behavior
- Alcohol is ok in moderation; please don't abuse.
- Smoking only in outdoor areas
- This is a hands-on experience, not suitable for people with many limitations regarding practical work
