I couldn't have asked for a better experience in Norway. From the first day pål made me feel at home. He is open minded and easy to be around and i really enjoyed our conversations and working together. We mainly repaired fences and worked on the hay harvest and pål trusted me with the tractor and other machinery i had never used. He was always fair with the working hrs and he really went the extra mile to make sure i had a good experience. The dogs are fantastic and full of energy, the sheep are very well cared for and the farm is surrounded by beautiful norwegian nature. :)

Meu tempo na fazenda foi uma ótima experiência e eu estou tão grato por ter estado lá para ajudar durante a temporada de parto de ovelhas. Pål foi muito gentil, carinhoso e acolhedor. Eu me senti em casa desde o primeiro dia e apreciei a amizade e o humor dele durante minha estadia. O local onde a fazenda é localizada fica realmente em uma parte bonita da Noruega, é muito pacífica e calma e rodeada por montanhas deslumbrantes. Foi uma oportunidade tão única para aprender e experimentar a forma como Pål opera e governa sua fazenda e foi bastante impressionante, para dizer o mínimo. Estou muito grato e aprecio tudo.

Minha estadia na fazenda foi realmente incrível, nunca esquecerei as impressões e experiências que tive o prazer de viver e ver. Pål tem um caráter único, sua gentileza, sua abertura de mente e seu humor me fizeram sentir em casa desde o primeiro dia. A vida cotidiana é muito flexível; tive muito prazer no trabalho (especialmente cuidando dos cordeiros :) ), mas também houve espaço para explorar a bela natureza fazendo trilhas e pequenas viagens de carro. Os cães são muito carinhosos, o que eu amei 😍. Sou extremamente grato pela minha estadia e espero poder voltar algum dia… Obrigado Pål por tudo!

What a great month! I’ve always dreamed of learning more about farm work and I couldn’t ask for a more beautiful experience than the one Pål gave me and the other guests he was hosting. Moreover, today I can say I leave not only with beautiful memories, but also with new friends. What I will miss most about this experience: the cuddles with the lambs, the evenings shared with Pål and his guests, my morning coffee on the outdoor terrace that offers a view of the mountains, the hikes, the 4x4… hehe! Thank you Pål!!!

Minha estadia em Pål foi ótima! Ele é muito gentil e, mesmo que eu seja tímido, ele adorava me contar histórias e fatos sobre a Noruega, o que me deixou muito à vontade. Seus dois cães também são adoráveis.
Estive aqui em outubro, então minhas tarefas consistiam principalmente em dar água e comida às ovelhas, mas também em ajudar a mover rebanhos de um lugar para o outro, para ajudar a classificar e pesar as ovelhas, entre outras coisas. Houveram dias longos, assim como dias mais tranquilos, mas nada é realmente difícil de fazer.
A paisagem ao redor é bonita, com neve ou sem neve, e tive a sorte de ver as auroras boreais.

Eu me senti muito em casa na Pål’s Gård, dividindo a casa com os outros, jantando juntos todas as noites. No verão, o trabalho principal de Pål é fazer bolas de grama, então minhas tarefas ficavam no celeiro ou ao redor da casa – limpar, pintar, cortar a grama, cuidar do cachorro. Em setembro, começamos a trazer as ovelhas para casa da floresta, o que foi uma experiência incrível para mim. Nenhuma das tarefas era difícil, e elas eram adequadas para qualquer pessoa. Tive muito tempo libero e a oportunidade de fazer passeios pela fazenda. Passei muitas noites assistindo ao pôr do sol da varanda, o que vou sentir muita falta. Obrigado!

I stayed here two too short weeks during the end of lambing season. Tasks were feeding and giving water to the sheeps, giving bottles to the lambs (😍) and helping to take them in the wood - I enjoyed every single task! Pål made sure we felt at home - also with my vegetarian belongings - and to meet new people from the same country or with same interestes! During my time I got to learn much about sheeps and general farm work. Spending time with their 4 dogs and being surrounded by so beautiful nature was so nice! Thanks for everything again!

My experience at the farm was incredible—one of the most enriching of my life. I learned so much, immersed myself in Norwegian culture, adopted new habits, and enjoyed the peace of its breathtaking landscapes. Above all, the farm, Brit, their family, and friends showed me unparalleled kindness, always supporting me, especially when I needed it most. The four dogs—Love, Lucas, Cris, and Illow—brought daily joy, and working with the adorable sheep, from feeding them to organizing their day, was unforgettable. Thank you, the farm, for everything!
