Meu tempo com a WF foi incrível.
Durante minha estadia pude trabalhar em três locais diferentes, todos com coisas muito agradáveis neles. Honestamente, não poderia ter escolhido um lugar melhor para começar minha jornada de voluntariado. Consegui fazer muitos passeios, conhecer muitas pessoas incríveis e trabalhar em estufas, aprendendo muito sobre sustentabilidade. Obrigado, Victoria e Toti, pela confiança e pela oportunidade.

Estar na Islândia sempre foi um sonho. Cada momento com a comunidade foi incrível. Dirigir, ir ao supermercado, ver as auroras com pessoas especiais… simplesmente uma das melhores experiências da minha vida. Toti e Victoria sempre foram muito atenciosos e dispostos a ajudar com qualquer pergunta, foi realmente incrível! Eu recomendo muito.

Infelizmente, minha experiência geral foi muito decepcionante. Fui para a Islândia para a experiência Worldpackers com um visto irlandês válido, mas me negaram a entrada na fronteira porque o voluntariado é considerado trabalho na Islândia e não tinha a autorização de trabalho exigida. Entendo que a decisão de imigração em si não estava sob o controle do anfitrião. No entanto, acredito que isso é algo que deveria ter sido esclarecido adequadamente antes de viajar, pois resultou em despesas significativas e inesperadas e não consegui participar da experiência de forma alguma. Foi uma experiência maravilhosa estar com essa organização!! Eles foram extremamente atenciosos, me ofereceram muito mais do que eu esperava e sempre se preocuparam com o meu bem-estar. Foi um verdadeiro prazer fazer voluntariado com eles, e também aprendi sobre práticas que ajudam o meio ambiente. Eu realmente os recomendo😍

If you ever get the chance to embark on a volunteer program with WF, go for it! I learned so much about Iceland, how they are working to become a true green country, about the wild nature and this all at the same time I got to meet volunteers from literally all around the world. I can't express how happy and grateful I will forever be. Victoria and Toti are super chill, easy going leads to learn from! Thank you so much!

I'll be forever grateful for this opportunity. The workdays, facilities & food were 10/10. The people behind WF work very hard to create a + environmental impact, always w/ deep care for human sensitivity & integrity. Toti & Victoria clearly understand that environmental education & awareness are the only real ways to plant seeds of contagious change in the short term, & they do so in the kindest way a volunteer who's alone & far from everything familiar can be treated: w/ warmth, active listening, dialogue & respect. I totally recommend embarking on this adventure & I plan to return soon!

I don't have enough words to describe how amazing this experience was. We stayed in a sustainable community and our task was working in the greenhouse, super fun and great learning experience. But the best part was being able to connect with the community of icelandic people living there, it felt like a big family! Also had the opportunity to meet other volunteers from across the world and learn from their culture too! We felt welcomed from the first moment we arrived, thanks to the person in charge, Victoria. We didn't wanted to leave and hope we are able to come back!

First of all, thank you Victoria for this experience. I'm happy to have come, but I agree with Jimena's comment. I think I spent 10% of my time doing the tasks that were in the contract. Communication in the NGO still has something to be desired. We are often informed in the morning or the evening before what needs to be done the next day. Victoria was a very good, attentive, and gentle listener; she's an amazing woman, but I think she's overwhelmed by the work we entrust to her. I still had a good experience thanks to the people I met, but I wouldn't recommend it either.

I had a disappointing experience with this volunteer program in Iceland. My one-month commitment ended after two weeks due to the organization's lack of professionalism. I was promised a camp leader role, but upon arrival, my activities were changed and never aligned with the signed agreement, despite three follow-ups. The project manager, Victoria, failed to fulfill commitments, and communication was poor. Temporary housing was overcrowded with 11 people, one shower, and two toilets in a space meant for five. Many volunteers shared frustrations about the disorganization. I don't recommend it.
