Passei um mês em Goa fazendo voluntariado e me apaixonei pela Índia. Como uma viajante solo muito despreparada, locomover-se e explorar foi muito fácil e posso dizer que me senti segura 100% do tempo como jovem em um albergue. As pessoas incríveis que trabalham na cozinha, no bar e, é claro, Ashwin, sempre me fizeram sentir segura e me ensinaram tanto. Sou realmente grata por ter podido experimentar Goa a partir dessa perspectiva. Um mês foi a quantidade perfeita de tempo para eu poder conhecer Goa pouco antes da temporada de monções. O albergue é sempre uma grande festa e uma grande família ❤️.

Foi um prazer ter Tessa como parte da nossa família de hostel. Ela é uma alma bonita que se conecta com as pessoas ao seu redor e deixa uma impressão onde quer que ela vá. Uma rua inteira ficou triste quando ela deixou o albergue e isso diz muito sobre o seu caráter. Adoraria tê-la de volta e recomendaria a qualquer pessoa 100% se ela algum dia se candidatar às suas vagas. Adoraria passar mais tempo durante a próxima viagem dela e uma visita a Chapora é indispensável quando você retornar :) Boa sorte com seus estudos e nos vemos ❤

Sofia foi uma boa colega de equipe no início. Mas depois tornou-se pouco profissional, especialmente com os hóspedes, conforme relatado. Se ela tivesse algum problema com outros voluntários, seria fácil informá-los naquele momento, em vez de nos avisar agora. Extrovertida e sociável, mas teria sido bom se comunicar com o gerente e os voluntários, pois eles eram próximos. 3/5

Minha experiência neste albergue foi, de modo geral, bastante agradável. Conheci pessoas maravilhosas, a equipe de funcionários foi ótima e tenho boas lembranças.
Se você quer conhecer pessoas, com certeza é o lugar certo para você e se você está procurando sair para festas, é o lugar perfeito.
No entanto, há um verdadeiro problema de comunicação. Por exemplo, sem ser informado com antecedência, acabei trabalhando 14 dias seguidos (sem folgas) durante as férias e meu turno de trabalho costumava ser enviado muito tarde da noite para os dias seguintes, o que torna difícil planejar atividades fora do voluntariado.

Marin queria sair mais cedo do que as datas combinadas de voluntariado e, portanto, tivemos um pequeno problema com os horários dos dias de folga. Exigimos que os voluntários ajudem durante os dias de pico. Ele estava por volta do Natal e do Ano Novo e pediu folga durante os dias movimentados do albergue para festejar, o que não foi uma escolha responsável.
Normalmente a programação é definida no dia anterior, mas discutimos com o gerente para obter uma programação semanal para os voluntários a partir de agora.

Love Bucketlist! I had such a fun month here, Ashwin & Vaibhav run a professional and fun hostel and I was so happy to be a volunteer there. A great place to meet international and Indian travellers & I've come away with so many new friends. The work was in the bar and is very easy if you've worked behind bars before or easy to pick up if you haven't. The only thing I would say is there is quite an emphasis at times on promoting a party, which at times can be quite socially exhausting if you're not in the right mood for it, but I was easily dragged out these moods by guests lol! Recommend!

I had a really good time volunteering at the hostel. Vibav and the rest of the team are all extremely helpful and supportive when settling into the role. It's a great way to meet people and see Goa, without spending much money. However it would be nice to have to schedules slightly earlier then the night before. Overall it was a great experience!

I loved my first week there, the bartending they expect from you is very simple and Ashwin is very friendly. It was the most lively hostel of the area and everyone was looking to socialize. I chose to leave about one week earlier, because I started to feel like 6 h per day in exchange to accommodation and free breakfast-lunch, that I kept missing because my shift ended at 2 am, was not worth it. A premade work schedule would help us know our shifts and days-off in advance and avoid working for 7+ days straight.

This is home away from home, you will have so much fun meeting international travelers and connecting with the goa culture. The shifts were very easy and chill, the food was also very good and the party atmosphere is a reflection of what goa is about. All the beaches are a few minutes walking distance and you will always have enough time for you to enjoy the bucketlist life. I highly recommend it if you look for a western style experience while you travel through the universe of India.

Where do I even start ! Wow what an amazing place to meet people from all over the world It's a very social hostel and you make loads of friends the staff are all super friendly and helpful it's bar work so you get go learn the basics if you don't already know which is a good skill to take away from this experience. I'm sure I will be back one day ! I'd highly recommend voulenteering here

Note this is a party hostel. If you are looking to party, socialise and immerse yourself in the local culture then this is a great opportunity for you. Make sure to discuss with your host before what are your expected shifts and day to day role responsibilities. The room I was first put in was really basic but you can always upgrade your room for a small fee to have a clean private apartment. I would recommend this if you want some comfort. Overall, host is very nice, interesting guy that has travelled all over and has great stories.

Tive um ótimo tempo hospedando Meg. Não consegui passar muito tempo quando ela estava por perto, pois eu estava viajando. Mas as interações curtas que tivemos foram ótimas. Ela era responsável e tinha uma personalidade incrível, perfeita para a vibe do hostel. Com certeza a recomendaria e desejo a ela uma viagem segura pela frente.
