A minha experiência foi maravilhosa. Tive oportunidade de conectar-me com pessoas locais e partilhar a minha experiência como solo traveler com crianças, adolescentes e adultos e em simultâneo participar em actividades e visitas culturais com os mesmos. Os anfitriões são extremamente acolhedores e atenciosos, levaram-me a visitar os pontos de interesse histórico, cultural e social da cidade e fui extremamente mimada. Tive ainda oportunidade de visitar uma ilha fantástica perto de Jakarta e de ter uma lição de silat. Esta experiência enriqueceu-me e tornou-me numa pessoa mais feliz e positiva.

Meu tempo como voluntário foi uma experiência verdadeiramente gratificante. A equipe é formada por pessoas maravilhosas, de bom coração, que me fizeram sentir bem-vindo durante toda a minha estadia. As aulas foram envolventes e muito divertidas, tornando cada momento valioso. Recomendo fortemente este programa a quem procura um ambiente solidário e vibrante.

Tive um tempo realmente divertido e agradável com os professores e os alunos. O ensino em si não é realmente ensino; é mais apresentar uma apresentação de slides diante da turma sobre você. A vibe da acomodação era divertida e descontraída, especialmente morar com os outros estudantes e a equipe. Também há uma grande ênfase em criar conteúdo para as redes sociais, o que pode ser cansativo. Eles são flexíveis com seus planos — fui para Yogyakarta por 3 dias em vez de viajar. Bekasi é um pouco decepcionante, mas é divertido ir às outras sedes e conhecer pessoas novas ao longo do voluntariado. Obrigado, pessoal :)

Passei um tempo maravilhoso fazendo voluntariado na escola. As aulas e os alunos foram muito divertidos e, principalmente, o que eu fiz deles foi exatamente isso. Gostei de brincar com os alunos mais jovens e de ter conversas interessantes com os alunos mais velhos sobre a cultura inglesa, mas também aprendendo muito sobre a Indonésia com eles! Rifki, Ancel e Sulton foram alguns, entre outros, que foram brilhantes em ajudar com todas as pequenas coisas, tendo alguém para pedir qualquer coisa que eu precisasse e simplesmente sendo pessoas divertidas! Obrigado por me levar nas viagens ao redor de Jacarta; foi uma ótima experiência!

I had a great experience volunteering at the school! All the staff, teachers, admin, and students were very friendly, welcoming, and always there to help me with anything I needed. I met some great people during my time here. The teaching consisted mainly of a cultural exchange between you and the students, which suited me as I had no prior teaching experience. You get to visit classes of a range of ages, from kids to adults, a few times a day, and I liked that the teaching sometimes took place in different branches around the city. I would definitely recommend!

The experience I had at the school was one that I'll never forget. It was truely get opportunity for as it opened doors for my future in teaching. The crew, the teachers and the students were always friendly and respectful. the school went above an ad beyond to make sure I was comfortable and to make sure I had no issues with anything. I had a beautiful experience volunteering at the school, and I really recommend it to other travelers. I stayed with amazing young people, shared the same space, joined activities, and learned from them while having fun. The place feels super local — no tourists around, just a genuine community, which made the experience even more special. Everyone was kind and treated me so well. My time at the school has been fun and I met amazingly kind people. They take super good care of you, providing you a private room, 3 meals a day, and laundry service. You work 6 days a week, teaching 2-4 classes or either children, teens, or adults. You also may be asked to create video content with them. Regarding the “trips around Jakarta”, I would have low expectations. I'm sure if you have a destination in mind where you'd like to go, they will happily accompany you, but you should take that decision on yourself. Overall, it's a great experience and I will miss everyone there!

I had a great time at the school! I can't recommend this experience enough to someone who is looking to teach english and dive into the indonesian local lifestyle. Both staff and students are super friendly and will help you along the experience. The schedule consists of teaching 6 days a week and 2-3 classes each day. You will get to teach in different schools but mostly the one located next to your accommodation. During my stay, I got the chance to visit the Istiqlal mosk, practice some Batik art and go to Pari island. Thanks again for the experience and hopes everyone is well !
